Food Poisoning….I went in at 8pm last week and wanted a meatball sub. They were all out. So I opted for a steak sub. The employees scraped the last of the meat from the bottom and made my sub. I got home and was eating the sub when I noticed something was “off”. I’ve had the steak sandwich before and figured maybe there was a change in their sauces. While eating it I even considered stopping. But I wote it off to the sauce (now looking back and sure that it was a meat that was old). An hour later “luckily only mild food poisoning”. But any form of food poisoning is not fun. I don’t think I’ve had food poisoning over 20 years. I travel extensively including out of the country, but I definitely know what it is. I tried calling before I posted this twice to the Subway shop in Holt, and neither time the manager was supposedily in the store. Maybe the owner/manager should be in the store more often to check the quality and safety of the food.

I ordered online through the app at this store due to my normal store not taking online orders and this was the closest store. My husband stopped by on his way home from work and picked them up but while he was waiting for them to finish the workers told him to get off his phone (was on phone with me to make sure he got the right subs) and was very rude that I apparently said one cuss word on the phone with my husband and then proceeded to stare my husband down when he picked up the order from the pick up area because they wouldn’t hand it to him.

The Holt shop is the worst subway I’ve been to in my life. I will actively drive out of my way to Lansing rather than go here. The “manager” is a total jerk. They will just guess if you order off the app and they are out of something, then try to make you pay for what you didn’t order or else BUY A WHOLE EXTRA SUB. And argue with you about it. Ridiculous. Multiple times they’ve made mistakes in the app order. Most recent they made two of the same sub and zero of the other. Yes, I checked the print out and it was their mistake. Go anywhere but here!

Went in to order a 6″” with no bread. The “manager” insisted I buy a sald which is $3 more. I didnt want a salad portion. He finally agreed to do it and started stuffing the lettuce and tomatoes into a paper cookie bag. Won’t be back.

If you run out of Italian bread, you should at least give the person the option of picking a different bread, not deciding for them; or act like you have no idea why the customer doesn’t have the correct bread on their sandwich when they call to ask why. This place has really changed over the past year or so; it’s getting real old. Often get double mayo, because we like our mayo on the bread, not in the middle…just seems to be a mess there now; assuming poor management now.

We used their coupons we got in the recently and enjoyed 3 delicious subs for a very reasonable price. They have very friendly employees who gave us great service. You should be proud of all the great team members you have cause there are a lot of places struggling with employees and when they don’t have employees they shut down or close early. Please don’t be one of those places .

I went in on 9/20 for lunch and saw an employee fiddling with his mask while making someone’s lunch. I watched him do it twice before I had a chance to say something. He adjusted his mask and touched the food with the same hand. That is disgusting, and for speaking up I got an attitude from the individual saying I’m not taking the mask off. Not once did I say take the mask off, I told him to stop playing with it. Nevermind the fact that he contaminated the whole pan of meat. I will never go there again.
