Reviews
My boyfriend and I went through the drive-thru about 40 minutes before closing. While the employee taking our order already seemed to have an attitude, the real issue happened at the payment window.
We used a valid coupon for our meal. When I handed it to the employee at the window, he made an uncomfortable face, stared at us for an extended amount of time, then closed the window and waved the coupon around while clearly complaining to his coworker.
When he returned, he handed back my card and receipt and said, “Don’t worry, the coupon is on there.” I calmly asked if there was a problem, and he responded, “Yeah, there is a problem. You came here right before closing and then you have to use this stupid coupon. I have bills to pay, and I have to pay taxes.”
He continued going on about his personal finances. We explained that everyone has bills to pay, but that doesn’t justify treating customers poorly for using a coupon the store accepts. At that point, the interaction felt hostile and uncomfortable, so we left.
Using a coupon and ordering during posted business hours should never result in being spoken to this way. This experience was extremely unprofessional and disappointing.
A worker told a customer that we are out of mayo. Another worker grabbed the two bottles and filled them. Same situation with a food item.
How can a restaurant operate with lazy employees and no tomatoes or other items.
