This place is the definition of how an owner/operator runs a business into the ground from neglect. Ironically, the University’s business school is directly across the street. This Subway serves as a perfect example of how to erode a franchise brand reputation. Heck, as a business professor in marketing I might just make a case study out of this and publish it.

Issues:

– Google shows this place “Temporarily Closed” and has for a while. It is not.
– The Subway app no longer lists this location. So you can’t make any mobile orders.
– As other reviews note, they are often out of crucial ingredients, bread, pizza, etc.
– As other reviews note, the payment system is often offline (“cash only”)
– The drink selection is down to just pure sugar fountain drinks. Tea, especially unsweetened, is almost never available.

As other reviews have indicated, the bright spot here are the poor employees that have to work under these suboptimal conditions and face all the wrath from upset customers. They remain so positive and try their best despite this mismanagement.

Surprised Subway Corporate hasn’t taken action. But, looking at the bright side, at least we have a constant stream of great “how not to do it” stories for our marketing and management classes.

The franchise should be ashamed of this place. This might be not only the worst Subway experience ever, but possibly the worst fast food experience.

Constantly out of stock of most basic items for sandwiches and salads. Constant problems with payment system (no internet, cash only), toast/ovens constantly out of order. This means the app for to go is usually taken off-line too.

I think the folks who work here, having to bear the brunt of all these problems and put up with the annoyed customers are the heroes of this story. The owners (whoever is supposed to be managing this place) are failing this brand, its customers, and the small campus community miserably.

I am willing to bet this comment will get no response from management.

Good luck everybody, especially the folks who have to suffer here as employees.

I used the Subway app to order online and pick up in the store. I got the Italian BMT with the Italian Herbs and Cheese bread and provolone cheese, along with lettuce, cucumber, oil, and vinegar as my toppings and condiments. I sadly forgot to get it toasted. The sandwiches were ready within minutes of me placing my order. I walked in, picked up my sandwiches, and said thank you to the people that were working. They were very nice. I would definitely come back and get more food from here, it was a pleasant and quick experience.

This place is never open on time. For a place on campus where students and teachers are on set schedules and tight times for lunch it is very poorly manage. On the door it says opens at 9am, online it says opens at 10 am but most of the time employees aren’t getting there until after 10 am and just starting prepping and not opening until closer till 11 am. There are some days that they just don’t open at all. Their toaster has been broken for weeks and the employees leave their personal belongings in the booths so other customers cant use them.

Ordered from here once before. Food was passable. I ordered over the app a second time. Get a call a couple a minutes later that they don’t have the ingredients. Now I can’t get a refund. Avoid this place. Bad food. Bad service. And they’ll steal your money. I’ll take this review down when I get my refund.

Update11/12: still no refund

I’ve been here in the past, and whereas it is a good Subway. Normally, the problem is they they change their hours for the campus breaks and never post them. So the door still says they’re open to nine, but i went by just after three forty-five, and they were already closed. And there isn’t a single sign in sight, stating their hours for this week.

You can never go wrong with a subway sandwich but this subway was awful. Very poor service from a lady named Tinka. She was so mean and was even yelling at another worker. Very poor behavior from them and I will not be back. I would rather drive an hour than EVER go back into this place.

They are definitely on the upswing, the crew is on point these days and I go here a lot. Best part is the customer service.

This subway doesn’t take Catcards, or exchange meals, unlike almost every other restaurant on campus. Food and service is on par with other Subways. But since you’re on campus I’d recommend you just go to the sandwich station in the cafeteria, which is much better than Subway IMO, and works flawlessly with Catcards.
