We went in and ordered 3 sandwiches for a total cost of a little over $40. The bread was so stale that none could be eaten. I asked for a gift card but was told they could only re-make the sandwiches. None of us wanted anything else from this store. I was told a week later that if I then produced the receipt they would refund per the supervisor. Why not a gift card where you are sure to use it at the same company, only at a different location? This experience has turned me off of Subway and I won’t be back. We used to get sandwiches from there at least 2 or 3 times a month. We also used to get coupons in the mail but could never use them at this location due to their computer. After a week the supervisor said she would refund my money IF I could bring in the receipt. Who keeps a receipt after being told they would only remake the sandwiches. NO MORE! If they have to use their fist to pound down the bread…ASK FOR FRESH BREAD. Village Subs are the best, located across from the Mad Boar. Their bread is so soft and they slice your meat and cheese to order!

Patty was very pleasant! She served the never ending late lunch crowd single handedly with ease and professionalism. Perfect stop if you’re headed to the beach! No gluten free bread options unfortunately. Tried the footlong nachos…definitely not for me

They gave us soups instead of subs, our subs were drenched in the sauces we asked for. I mean DRENCHED, every worker here needs to be trained again.

No one speaks when you walk in or when they are ready to take your order; they just look at you with a blank stare. Topping containers empty (around 6pm), will put literal scraps of lettuce on your sub. If you order on the app- your order will be wrong. I have never seen someone work and move as slow as they did this evening; it was almost unbearable to watch. Do better subway!!

I am from Wilmington …born and raised.
When I came to Wallace in 2014 to help my sister…we use to go to Subway often…she liked the Turkey subs.
Well…the last ( few) times I went to this place of business it has been horrible most times. Last time I went,… ‘there were barely any toppings in containers and toppings they didn’t even have. Lettuce wilted from container on ice and lettuce got cold…tomatoes slimy…and so on.
Gloves not changed enough…cross contamination concerns. Talking over food…lack of hair having some sort of appropriate covering…who wants a loose hair in there food?

Inappropriate behaviour and coversations.
Short attention spans when it comes to the quality of there work and preparation of your meal.
Alot of people I have talked to and listened to about places to eat in Wallace,N.C have not been happy .
We get new name places and people get excited talking about the food being so good even before the place is built…because people are thinking about the last time they went to one of those restaurants to eat or fast food places somewhere else of course…and how good it was.
What a shame that we are not able to just walk into any business in Wallace to eat and just get good service and good food without having to try to figure out where to eat and feeling like……”Well it wasn’t good last time but I will give it one more try”. I know there is no such thing as perfection in anything in this world,….but when it comes to choosing a place to just relax and have a meal……..it shouldn’t be so hard.

I’ve been here many times where the same woman is making a huge amount of bread. I’m not sure if it’s her or the manger approval or what. I was there Monday, Tuesday and today (Wednesday). The same lady was working yesterday and today, the bread I received was old, stale and hard. This is not the first time this has happened. The manager usually works on Sundays and the bread is always fresh! I always tip 20% sometimes more. I tried calling today about the bread for over an hour and no one would answer, it would pick up and hang up or go to a fax machine and then for 10 minutes it rang busy, again not the first time this has happened. Sometimes, no turkey, or chicken or a produce. I’m done trying, VILLAGE SUBS IS SOOO MUCH BETTER!!! It might not have all the selections, but they will customize, and everything is always FRESH!!! Always answers the phone as well.

They started my order then put me aside for an online order because it was smaller than mine. They were out of meats, cheeses, dressings… When I needed to combine cheeses because they didn’t have enough provolone and when I needed to choose a different cheese for the next sub I was charged an upcharge. I asked why? If you are out of so many things, you have set me aside for other orders, perhaps you should make the substitution as a courtesy. The gentleman behind the counter said I didn’t have to come back if I didn’t like the policy! Seriously? I told him he would do himself a favor to just stop talking….. I have never not tipped, but tonight was a first. The attitude from the staff was uncalled for and unnecessary. I had been patient and polite, but after nearly an hour I will not return to Subway in Wallace NC again. The food was fine, but the attitude was not.

Me and my dad come here a lot. The food is okay, the price for the food is a bit pricey for what it is. Your best off to keep an eye out for the coupons in the mail to save a couple bucks here. Read the coupons carefully though, there’s a lot of exclusions in the fine print. Service could be a little better. They seem to have a lot of new workers come and go, yet they keep the one lady who is always grouchy. As far as the atmosphere, the music is a little dated, but I like it anyways. Other then that it just seems the workers constantly seem distracted by one another, and they ask you multiple times what you ordered. Only problem with that is most people don’t like repeating themselves, me personally as long as you get my order correct i don’t mind you asking again to make sure you do.

Second day in a row there register is “down” around 4-5 pm yet open sign is on. Drove by today at 1:25pm and there line was out the door taking orders. Laziest sacks of lard I have ever seen. Do better.

I ordered online. The food was good but I was shorted 24 sodas that were supposed to come with the 2 platters I ordered. I tried to call the store but could not get anyone to answer even though I called multiple times. I could not go to the store to let them know what happened because we were preparing for a wedding. 24 sodas are expensive so that was quite a loss for me. It was also supposed to be delivered but they didn’t have a driver so I ad o get someone else to go pick it up for me.
