Alyssa made a comment about not really wanting to do her job but had to because she knew she would be told on. She had an attitude with the kids. When they came home they made me aware of the rude service the received. She was more worried about talking to the gentleman that was there.

I come here about 3 times a week. I’ve never been acknowledged or recognized, as far as I know. I always order ahead on the app. I thank the sandwich artists on my way out if they’re present, but seldom get an acknowledgement, just confused stares, like why would you interrupt my phone browsing? Any interaction with staff reveals how miserable they are, so I try to minimize it. Today was a good example: I always order footlongs, use the coupon, and leave a tip. I came in and picked up my order on the rack, and realized they made a 6 inch. The bag was light. Inconsequential. No heft. It was a 6 inch. It felt like a 4 inch. I waited until the sandwich artist was free and said, with an apologetic, understanding tone, ‘I’m sorry, this was supposed to be a footlong.’ She replied that she ‘thought it was a six inch’. I lifted the receipt, which clearly stated that it was supposed to be a footlong. I said that I was ‘pretty sure it was a footlong’ with an apologetic smile. She looked at the receipt and sighed. She replied that she “thought it said six,” there was “no need to be rude” as she began rushing through a six inch to complete the order. My mouth opened a little. I was surprised that our interaction escalated so quickly! I explained I wasn’t trying to be rude and apologized. Not because I felt responsible for the issue, but because I felt bad for her situation. I almost asked her to stop and that I’d just take the 6 inch. It wasn’t worth her disdain. I felt bad for her. She quickly made another 6-inch, rushing back and forth between the bag and the boards, reading my ingredient choices with disdain, and explained she was working by herself (not an apology, but an excuse.) I apologized again as she handed me the rest of my sandwich. I felt so bad for her! She rolled her eyes and rushed off to the next customer. I seldom see a line there, it felt like a rush, but it wasn’t. She didn’t apologize or otherwise acknowledge the issue. No meal upgrade, no free footlong, nothing like making things right. I didn’t expect it. Zero responsibility, no acknowledgement. I was embarrassed and confused about the interaction, and while this store is fairly close by, I’ll be driving an extra 15 minutes to the Subway by Food Lion from now on if I want Subway. I don’t feel like Subway much right now. It’s just not worth it to deal with the misery, assumptions, and attitude of the staff at franchises like Apple Market Subway.

Waited to go until 9 because that’s when it opens -stated online & at the door. It was 9:02 & the woman said they were not open. When asked about opening at 9 she said she had not set up register & there was no air. Don’t waste your time. It’s 5 minutes from my house but I will not be going there anymore.

This is a convenient location but it always seems under staffed. The food is good and the staff is friendly but they usually have one person working.

Now THIS store is everything a Subway can & should be! The food tastes, looks & is fresh, clean & uncontaminated. The woman on shift today, 10/25/19 has been so cordial, so pleasant & so efficient Everytime I’ve gone in. She treats my aging mother with tremendous tenderness & humor. I love getting food from her. She knows her products & steers you to things you might not know about. Food always tastes better when she makes it! No dropped meats in veggies or other unclean practices. If you want a subway sandwich in Amherst, do yourself a favor and go to THIS store, not the other one in Amherst.

It’s a good location but I don’t think staff takes it seriously. Every time I order meatball melts I get regular meatball subs. No extra cheese or anything else and they don’t look close to a meatball melt. This is the second time so don’t think I’ll be coming back to this location.

After eating at a Subway with outdated ingredients and a sub-par atmosphere, this subway changed my outlook completely. There was amazing customer service thanks to Cathy and the sandwich tasted fresh and wonderful. Seriously, the best service I’ve received in a food service environment in ages. I highly recommend this stop if you’re hungry for great food at a reasonable price.

The people at this Subway rock! Our bus with 50+ people broke down here and the employees handled the situation amazingly. Almost all of the riders rushed in to get food. The employees were cheerful and speedy as they worked through the entire line of hungry people.
They all deserve raises.
