I arrived at 12:11 PM and I was finished paying at 12:49 PM. Nearly a 40 minute wait for 2 sandwiches and a salad, 1 cookies and a bag of chips. There were only two employees and that wasn’t nearly enough to keep the ingredients stocked in the coolers and timely filling all orders. Also, the lettuce was brown, so I opted for just spinach for my salad. Not only was there a line of customers in the store, there was a stack of online order receipts waiting to be processed.
Neither employee seemed overly happy and the customers didn’t seem overly happy.
Again, I really think the manager/owner needs to be at the store until they can find more people OR don’t take online orders at lunchtime. Being in a physical line is bad enough, but then I get pushed for incoming online orders. And the employees can’t focus on the customers that are front-and-center.
It has been a year and I did not notice any remarkable improvement from my visit in September 2023.
I am really disappointed and I will not be visiting this store again.
Visited with my elderly father and niece. Older lady behind the counter is flat out rude. My father is hard of hearing due to his age, she was getting irritated and snarky because she’s having to repeat herself, yet she’s speaking very softly. Then has the nerve to also tell my niece to speak up; how about she speaks at audible level herself?
I’m sure she deals with BS from city folk, oh well—it’s downtown Lancaster, what does one expect? Everybody has their own problems, everybody is going through something. But if you’re treated with kindness & respect, you give it back. It’s simple. Get a better employee.
