I eat at the Subway on 77 Vandenburgh Ave in Troy nearly every day (usually around 5 PM) and the staff is consistently awesome — friendly, quick, and my order is always right. I went to another Subway in Watervliet one day and it was terrible, which really made me appreciate how well this Troy location is run. Hope the manager/owner recognizes the evening crew — they do a great job.

No stars. They are supposed to be opened til 10 PM but have their doors locked a whole 30 minutes before 10 PM. I knocked on the window and shook the door, nothing except all the lights on and the 2 employees ready for me to order. They didn’t even open the door for me or answer the store phone when i called. So ridiculous what company locks the door 30 minutes before the actual closing time? How do you get money that way?

I ordered a rotisserie chicken w ghost pepper bread for pick up. It was disgusting the bread was hard as a rock (unacceptable/inedible). The sandwich was sloppy. I asked for extra spinach received the minimum. The chicken was barely there which was fine because I do not eat a lot of meat. The sandwich overall was trash due to bread being hard as a rock. I live around the corner and probably wouldn’t not EVER come to this location again. 1st & last time. No way that sandwich should’ve left the store like that. The staff clearly don’t care what they slop together. It looked like a 2 yr old put it together lol WTH

This location doesn’t take Subway coupons…and they don’t notify you until you check out. I visited this Subway because of the coupon I received in the mail…yet they don’t accept coupons. Their choice I understand that…however i think its a bit slimy. They should at minimum prominently display the fact that they don’t accept coupons on their door and also inside before you order. I won’t be back to any Subways this independent owner owns. Just frustrating.

Its pretty much just a normal subway, and the employee was nice, but they don’t take coupons while having a coupon scanner thay says in big letters SCAN HERE. Apparently they only take online coupons. I went early, the sign said they were open, waited over 15 minutes for them to make my sub because they weren’t set up yet, and then wasn’t able to use the coupon that was the whole reason I came. Should be required by law to accept them or put up a sign saying, warning we don’t take our own coupons.

The food is at most average. I got a fountain drink and drank most of it without realizing there was literal dead bugs in it from the ice machine. Whatever you do, DO NOT get a fountain drink from this location. Absolutely disgusting and I’m praying I don’t end up sick from this.

Unhygienic! They cash people out and reuse the same gloves, why do I always have to ask you to change your gloves after handling money? Also gave me day old bread, at lunch time at that. If you can charge me 7 bucks for a half of sub then you can afford to change your gloves and give me fresh bread!!!!!
