At Subway, I had a really bad experience that felt careless and disrespectful. My sub was burnt, which should have been an easy fix, but instead the employee already seemed annoyed. She asked if I was picking up a mobile order, yet the order wasn’t even bagged. On top of that, she was on a personal phone call and wearing AirPods, which made it obvious she wasn’t focused on customers.

What bothered me most was seeing her touch her face repeatedly and then continue handling food without any concern for hygiene. When I confirmed my order, she didn’t speak and threw my sandwich onto the counter. There was no apology or basic courtesy. When I asked for the fountain drink that came with my order, she made an irritated face, as if I was asking for something extra instead of something I paid for.

This location also has a habit of forgetting items in my orders, so this wasn’t an isolated incident. Overall, the experience showed poor customer service, lack of professionalism, and no attention to cleanliness. It left me frustrated and disappointed.

The subway at Amherst walmart is filthy!! I mean everything from the floor soda machine,the glass is filthy. Instead of doing nothing behind the counter the employees should be cleaning! I would never eat there@!

I stopped by Friday morning after a long drive from New York and couldn’t be more pleased. The young lady on morning shift was so pleasant to talk to and made me a perfect sandwich which really put me in a good mood. I’m from North Carolina and its good to know hospitality isn’t just a southern thing! Take care!

I have ordered from this location a couple time in the last few months, every time Ronda seems to be the only one there. She is such a sweetheart, making polite conversation while rushing around completing order’s. She is always so polite and kind even when busy. You can tell she takes pride in this establishment. She deserves any kind of support you can afford to offer. She makes a great sandwich with a great attitude!

I went here last night 4/6/2025 at around 7:50pm after doing my shopping. I planned on getting Subway for dinner so I didn’t buy anything else for food.

I got to the counter to order and the young man working asked how he could help me. I asked for two Italian herb and cheese sandwiches with turkey. He then started going through the bread stating that it was all “stale” (ew?) and brought out a regular Italian sub roll. I reminded him I asked for Italian herb and cheese to which he said okay and then complained that his shoulders hurt from working. I said “I’m sorry, just take your time. I’m not in a rush.” To which I got no response. After a few seconds he said “I’m closing early!! I’m in too much pain! Making a sandwich isn’t worth it, it’s not worth it!” And started aggressively closing everything. I was confused and just kind of kept being like “what??” I didn’t get what was happening. He then continued mumbling and disappeared out back. It was two hours before their actual closing time! Like what???

This is why older generations think young people are lazy. Two hours before close you throw a fit about making sandwiches (the job you’re paid for) because your shoulders hurt? I need my right knee replaced but I still go to work and walk like 15 miles a day. I’ve had a lot of different jobs and making sandwiches was the easiest one I’ve had. Subway is the job that broke you? This kid was probably in his early 20s. Try a construction job kiddo. I have news for you; life is only going to get harder. One day you’ll miss how easy working at Subway was. Get it together! I am still dumbfounded by this kids actions and it looks like this is common for this location. Clearly it’s a manager/owner issue.

I drove down the road to a subway with another young man the same age working with what seemed to be a pretty bad cold. He was polite and made my sandwich without a single complaint. Definitely will not be back to the Subway in Walmart when there’s a better one down the road. Keep doing what you’re doing and you will continually lose clientele until you’re out of business.

I ordered take out through the website on 8/12. I received a call that they could not fulfill order because they didn’t have egg and told by the employee to call the 800 number for a refund. Come to find out there is not a 800 number and the store has the ability to refund. I still have not received my money back or a phone call from the manager where I left a message. This place is poorly run and now I am out almost $30 because they do not care about customer service. There is no corporate number to call and the emailed complaints are useless.

Just want to update that over a week has gone by and I have had zero response from the store. I can’t even speak to a live person at the restaurant. Corporate followed up and after I provided them the info they requested, I have not heard back. Will never order from this store again.

The employees at this place really give subway a bad name. I used to work for subway myself and if you don’t like customer service, why take the job? Every time I have come here the girl yells at the employees out back from the front, slams stuff, says “what do you want?” To the customers and when she cashes you out she doesn’t say anything and walks away from the register leaving the customer unsure if they are done. She is incredibly rude,sloppy and miserable. Who is manager here? Why on earth would they hire such miserable staff? They really need a clean slate.

Please, please don’t eat here. We went as a family of 5 to eat here and it was a dumpster fire. The lady behind the counter wouldn’t stop talking to other people and make our food and when she did, she was swearing in front of my kids about how she was alone the whole day. Acted like we weren’t even there. She forgot a sandwich in the toaster which was a blackened mess by the time she realized it. She was so miserable she decided to close the store after we ate at 530, store is supposed to be open until at least 9. She turned away multiple people. The food she managed to make was made terrible. I’m not sure how this places stays open. STAY AWAY at all costs!!!

The 1 star is for the kid that was brave enough to actually go to work at this place. The owner of this subway should really have some lessons on staffing. This kid was the ONLY one working and with a soccer tournament in town, not very smart! After waiting no doubt 30 minutes in line, we finally ordered. Zero stars to me for being dumb enough to wait that long! Two of the kids got black olives that had mold on them. The entire experience was terrible and I felt bad for the person that got stuck working alone. Subway locations like this give the brand a bad name!
