Soooo delicious!!!! Such a hidden gem discovered :’) I am so happy we found this place. Thank you for the amazing foods! My Philly Cheesesteak was soooooo good! The fries were soooooo warm and delicious too. The beef teriyaki was super flavorful too! Definitely recommend all to stop by and enjoy their delicious foods!

I got half philly cheesesteaks combo. It comes with a drink and fries. The fries are perfectly fried, and the seasoning is on point. I added an order of onion rings, which was amazing, nice, and thick, and it still had a crunch to the onion, breaded perfectly. I got a side or ranch, which I was not a fan of, but still did not need it as the fries and onion rings were delicious without it. The sandwich, I order it with no mushrooms, no lettuce, no tomato. The peppers and onion were cooked perfectly, with still a bit of a snap to it when you bite into it. The meat was well seasoned, and the cheese was super melty. The only down side and it was totally on me, I burned my tongue with a fry. It’s just that everything smelled so good I could not wait.

This review is long overdue. I’ve been eating at Submariner (not nearly enough) since moving nearby 15 years ago. It’s everything I love about a local food joint—no frills, friendly and courteous service, fast, and consistently great food. The Philly cheesesteak and Western bacon cheeseburger are my favorites, though the turkey sandwich is perfect for a cold option. Prices have risen over the years (as everywhere), but they’re still very reasonable for what you get. I always leave satisfied and wondering why I don’t come more often. In a neighborhood increasingly full of gentrified overpriced mediocrity, it’s refreshing to have a place like Submariner, where they prioritize delicious food over cringey decor designed for photo ops.

This is a hidden gem among the locals. With it’s spacious dining area that hits from the front to long path to reveal more seating in the back. With a small wide variety of sodas it’s a place get either fountain or glass drinks. The food is amazing, the way they prepare the meats and portion of fries they give you it’s worth the price and a visit.

I had the Philly cheese sandwich combo and it was very good. Meat was tender and bread fresh. I love crinkle cut fries. Very friendly staff. Seating in front and rear near the restroom. Street parking and small lot in rear with a handicap spot. Across the street from Baba’s lawnmower shop and west of Pepe’s taco.

I didn’t see any vegetation options besides pizza on the menu but the staff kindly offered to make me a veggie sub with provolone and it was amazing. The inside is much larger than it looks and the food was great!

This was my dad’s favorite restaurant since he immigrated from Mexico decades ago. He ate there since the 70s and then introduced it to my mom in the 90s. He would take my sisters and I there every Friday evenings for almost 20 years. Those Phillies and burgers are the best I will ever have and I say it not only out of nostalgia, but because of the wonderful memories. The staff is always sweet and kind and the food delicious. Even now living out of state, I miss it and always go and visit whenever I’m in town. It’s a restaurant not meant for many, but only for those who grew up around it. Definitely a neighborhood restaurant.
