I almost always love the food here. The last 3 times I’ve been here, my sandwich has been made perfectly and the chicken noodle soup has been fabulous. Tonight, though, I ordered the cream of chicken with rice soup and it is so thick, like pudding. I used to get it here before and I don’t recall it being like this. Wishing it had a thinner consistency like soup. Otherwise, everything has been consistently great.

Yesterday was my 1st time getting a salad from here. The lettuce was chopped in bite sized pieces. THANK YOU! Most restaurants have big chunks of lettuce and sometimes even the core! Keep up the good work!

The worst Italian Beef I’ve ever had. No gravy, just so oil. Horrible. The restaurant is ranked at 4.8 stars. Maybe it’s the rest of their food cuz the Italian beef was not even edible. Y’all probably need to take Italian Beefs of y’all menu then.

Super cute sandwich shop located on busy 162nd Street in South Holland. I picked up sandwiches for a big group and everyone enjoyed their sandwich. The corn beef was especially delicious. I also enjoyed the salad- a tuna salad. Super friendly staff. I will definitely go back if I am in the area.

This place is ridiculous after a long flight, I decided to stop here because someone was talking about how good their corned beef was, so I thought if I got king it would be nice. I order a king on Rye onion and mustard. Get it, drive out of the parking lot just to come back. They put the corned beef on a hoagie roll and went back to them because I wasn’t waiting in that long line, so I walked up to the window. So they fixed it I thought, they gave me two supposed-to-be corned beef sandwiches, so they took the meat for the hoagie bread and made two sandwiches it was like ten slices altogether, they split up the meat between two sandwiches this is the result. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME. I could’ve stayed at home and made it. 58.00 for nothing

I ordered a turkey sandwich sub along with a cream of brocoli soup. The bread was hard and the soup tasted more like flour. The service was bad also. I said hello to the cashier, she just gave me a blank face and asked if she could take my order. I was the only person inside the store at the time. The cashier called a number that was different on my ticket and left the bag of food on the counter. I’m looking around to see who’s coming to get the bag. Then after 10minutes, the cashier yells at me saying “you don’t want your food!” I asked what number was on the bag. It indeed was my number. I told her the number that she actually called. She then denied that she called the wrong number. I asked her why she waited so long to let me know. After all, I was the only one in the store. She turned her back to me and continued making sandwiches. I won’t be going there again.

Cream of broccoli soup has been a favorite for years. Salads are large, subs are great & service is quick.

Tainted love is playing as I write this and somehow it’s perfect. My love of a good hoagie will take me one day. And this is a good hoagie.
First of all, the meat. Traditional deli style prep, but this isn’t your local Subway. The variety of meat is solid and their pastrami game is on point. Getting it heated up melted the Swiss just right. Hoagie bun is just tough enough to remind me of the grinders of my youth at old snack shops.
Second the fries. Shoe string, perfectly cooked. Garlic is dusted with a Garlic salt with just a bit of a kick. Messy but good. However this is a TABLE order. It’s a large order solo.
Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Ask if you have questions. The seating is comfortable for lunch and the decor is late 70s down to the stained mini chandeliers. The music is pure new wave 80s pop, so think Boy George and Duran Duran at inoffensive levels. Very clean.
Price point is $15-20 a head. Worth the price in my view. Mark this local treasure in your rolodex if you haven’t already.
