I absolutely love substation ….. well I use to. Last night when I got home and was ready to eat my sandwich I noticed a piece of hair sticking out of it.. opened It completely to make sure my eyes wasn’t deceiving me, only to see a long strand of hair on my sub. Instantly went in the trash , wasted $13. I had to end up eating a frozen dinner when all day long i was looking forward to going to substation for dinner.… so disappointed. I will say that the staff was nice and helped me quickly.. all of that goes out the window though when you can’t eat the food you paid for because it has a strand of hair in it.

2 stars because staff was nice. As far as the sub sandwich goes they don’t put much cheese or meat on it. The meat was cut so thin you could see the light from the other side. They only give you two very thin slices of the meat and two very thin slices of cheese on the sandwich. I remember back in the day sub station 2 would load your sandwich with meat and cheese. The sub also was just slapped together with no love. I guess they made up with the oil, vinegar and Mayo because it was all over the table when I unwrapped the sandwich. I ended up having to put it on a plate. I also had my order Togo and they didn’t give me any napkins. I’ll say the place was nice and clean but I don’t think I’ll be coming back. You can give them a try and be the judge.

Since the new location open the quality and friendliness have plummeted. Order my usual and the employee knew the length of the bread was not 6in continued to make my sandwich with the meat hanging off until I stopped her cause she knew better her attitude was very defensive.

Nice location, it’s never busy when I go but the pass 2 times I’ve been my sub hasn’t been made correctly. They ask and I’ve repeated what I wanted twice and still get home to a sub not correctly made.

I figured that I would get a small chef salad because they are normally big and filling but they only offered one size at $10.99 which is the size of a small the way they made it. Very disappointed

Great place, great food….gotta put more meat on the sandwiches though, I’ve been to several sub station II’s and none put it on that thin. Otherwise would have been 5 stars, new location and probably new employees so it happens.

I have always loved the Substation since I had one in Mauldin “ages” ago. I am so excited to have them on Suber! We went the 16th- my whole gang (we have young kids) and they accommodated us and treated us kindly. Every employee that day acknowledged us. Thank you for good food and service.

Honestly when I pulled up, they was sweeping the parking lot? No wonder the subs were dogwater there was NO ENERGY! My meat was lukewarm.
