The food is *fantastic*. If you value flavor over decor, this is your spot. Definitely a new favorite for me! The rice roll was great and hit the spot on a cold day. I also got the double skin milk which way like a sweet firm custard. Really fantastic. I highly recommend both and am sure I’ll be back soon!

Tiny spot tucked away a bit far from the main Chinatown area. I didn’t wait long to get my food. They accept credit card, prices are a bit expensive for what you get. I got the shrimp cheung fun and it was decent.

Tuck away corner of chinatown. The shop is cozy and small but has just what you need. Just as expected, the clay pot and rice noodle rolls are delicious. I would come back to try other things on the menu.

Honestly, the atmosphere is not that great, only 4-5 tables, kinda small. It’s not fancy dining, but the server lady is super welcoming and nice. Most importantly, the food is delicious! It’s my first time here and I am shocked by how delicious the foods are!!! The Clay Pot Rice is better than the one I had in NYC, and the veggie is so tasty! I absolutely will visit this place again!!!

The rice rolls with egg were amazing, so soft and chewy. I wasn’t feeling great so I had a small appetite but once I started eating them I wanted the whole plate. I see reviews complaining about the service but my experience was that the owner was very friendly, brought out tea right away, took my order quickly, and checked on me every few minutes in case I needed anything! She also brought me more sauce for my rolls without me asking. She doesn’t speak English so when you order you need to point to the Chinese name of the dish you want and make sure it’s what you want, she takes your order on an iPad and then you pay by credit card when you’re done.

Susu Gourmet is my go-to spot for authentic, home-style Taishanese food. Their famous clay pot rice and rice rolls are absolute must-haves. Heard about this place on instagram and wanted to check out the rice rolls. The roast pork rice roll was soils out so I got the egg instead. It was very smooth and the portion was pretty big for the price. I also got the Taishan Fried rice noodles. It was a big plat; definitely a dish to share. Noodles were flavorful, bean spouts were crisp, and it was delicious. The store itself is very small so takeout might have been a better choice. Overall a pleasant experience.

Very authentic and delicious Cantonese food with warm services. The rice rolls tasted just like what I had in my childhood back in Guangdong China, so good. The soup is also of high quality, clear but flavorful. The clay pot rice is well cooked, smelled great and tasted even better. This is truly a good restaurant with careful and sincere attitude in making delicious food.
