Super friendly and attentive staff serving fresh, very tasty food. I had the Smash Burger with pepper jack cheese during my visit. Fries were crinkle cut and seasoned very well. Would definitely recommend trying the local eatery out!

Great Breaded Tenderloin Sandwich
Staff was nice. Not very busy for lunchtime, so food came right away. Will definitely return when I’m in Duncombe again.
Update: Visited Stumpy’s again. It’s been a year since my first visit and was pleased to see the place is still the same great little bar and grill with the same great tenderloin.
I brought a co-worker, ‘cause I’ve been bragging the place up since my first visit.
He gave it a thumbs up as well.
It may take me another year, but I’ll be back!

Visiting from NY, and were driving to visit family in Orange City.. decided to stop for lunch along the route , and were NOT disappointed at Stumpy’s!! Great breakfast buffet, the homemade chips were incredible, and the tenderloin sandwich was bigger than my husband’s hand! Owner was super friendly too, overall an excellent stop. Highly recommend!

Had to find gas off the interstate quick. Headed to the nearest town in view. Got lucky and found fuel and great food. Had the tenderloin with homemade chips . It was delicious.

Stopped by here on the way to Ames and had an excellent overall experience! The service was prompt and the food was also great. It also felt small yet welcoming which is definitely a positive! The Stumpy Burger that I had was excellent. If I come around this way again, I’ll certainly stop on by!
