The outdoor area has bar-style seating around the courtyard with a couple of umbrella tables, two fire pits, and a lower level game field. The sound of a waterfall structure adds nice ambiance and the food and weather made it a great outing.
If you are outside you are required to go place your order inside and then they’ll deliver your food to you (not very efficient because the experience of having to wait in line, in a crowded and cramped area, takes away from the relaxed feel you go for when going out; I heard some say that they’re not paying a tip to do all the work, so it even hurts the employees. Better to have someone take the order just like inside, and I’ll bet those people would add nice tips not to have the hassle – just sayin’).
The food was elevated bar food and very good. We had a number of items just to try the menu, and it was all good (kudos to the menu developer and the kitchen staff) (see pics).
Some of us had a beer and some cocktails and mock tails (non-alcoholic). All were very good. I especially appreciated the fact that I could get a stout that was not Guinness. Commercial beers and craft beers.
The dogs appreciated being outside and the dog owners were clearly happy their little friends could come to (although some were big, big friends). All got along.
We will absolutely be back, but hope the wait staff increases to include outside. This was our second time here, and we came from Georgia, living about 55 minutes away.
I recommend this place, especially for the outside area, menu, and beer selections.
The restaurant was very crowded & the noise was deafening. On top of the crowd noise, they had live entertainment which just amplified the cacophony.
We ordered drinks which were brought after 15 minutes. We also ordered edamame to enjoy with our drinks. The edamame didn’t arrive for 45 minutes so we had to leave & asked to get the edamame to go. That process took another 20 minutes. Over an hour to get an order of edamame?!!! OMG.
Worst of all the server wasn’t even concerned & failed to check on us. The entire staff seemed to ambivalent about customer service.
While waiting for my now to go order, I asked to speak to a manager (no show) . I finally gave up & left when the edamame finally arrived.
No excuse for the manager not to show up. The food should have been comped & an apology would have been nice, but everyone from the manager to the server just seemed disinterested.
Horrible experience. We will never return. I’ll be shocked if this restaurant is still open by Labor Day
Never been treated worse!
I’m only giving 1 star because the app won’t let me give 0.
Salmon salad was a bit sweet and I don’t like sweet dishes, this my preference.
Alsoni expected more from Norwegian salmon. Other dishes I liked.
