Stuccio’s Pizzeria – Berwick – NEPA Pizza Review
Reviews
Me out with an extra empty box of pizza so i could separate some for family after my Uncle just passed away. They also were selling rotary donates that day and I grabbed a couple bags !! I hope this place always stays in business its a staple of our town.
After a few rounds of food at the Bloomsburg Fair, we strayed away
to source some area pizza and so, we started with Stuccio’s in Berwick.
We ordered a 16” with extra sauce and sausage.
Enjoyed the pizza.
Great taste, the dough was a bit floppy due to the xtra sauce yet happy for it.
$20, worth every penny.
We tried a few other shops within the area and this one was the BEST!
However, in the past 3–6 months, something seems to have changed. The sauce has become watery, and the crust feels heavier and more doughy than before. The slices don’t hold up the way they used to, making them harder to eat fresh and even tougher to reheat later. At first, I thought it might have been a one-time issue, but after about nine orders recently, it seems to be consistent.
I truly hope this is something that can be fixed, because this place has been a staple in my life for decades, and when it’s at its best, it really is the greatest pizza in the world. I’d love to see it return to the quality that made me a lifelong fan.
I order, I get there and then find out when I’m about to pay that there’s a $1 fee. Yes, it is on the menu, but I’m not reading the ENTIRE menu; I’m looking at prices and what they have. When I order on the phone it would be nice if they’d ask if I’m paying by card or cash.
I really wish business would get with 2025 and realize that most people pay with cards. Price your product accordingly. If you want to give a discount for cash, great. But don’t make it an added fee for everyone else.
In regards to the pizza itself, nothing special. The crust was good – typical crispier thinner crust. Not ultra thin, which I really don’t like. It would have been good with a dipping sauce. The biggest thing that was not great and why I rate this a 3, is the cheese. It just wasn’t as melty and gooey as pizza cheese should be.
I’m from the west coast, and maybe this is just the east coast style of pizza, I don’t know. I’ve had a lot of wood fired pizza from a lot of places. Nothing stood out here.
