Found this wonderful BBQ place by accident and what a find it was! The food was amazing. I have not found a BBQ spot on LI that tastes like real BBQ, until we found Struggletown! The food and service were amazing. We got the brisket mac n cheese, the Big john platter and the Aloha Justin sandwich. All were tender and full of flavor! And don’t forget the sauces, in addition to the regular ones on the table the red valley heat, Alabama white, and the shed sauce all different than the other but equally good. We will absolutely be back!

1st time here, heard really great things and was in the mood. Got a simple Ruben that was the best I’ve ever had! Thick cuts of home cured pastrami, delicious bread and I swapped out the 1000 Island for spicy mustard because it’s a preference of mine (and made the sandwich that much better lol) Based off just the quality of that sandwich and the individuals working, you cannot go wrong here! Atmosphere was a 4 because it’s a BBQ joint, you’re not expecting 5 star dining but it’s quaint and 100% appropriate.

This place was found on a whim.
THANK YOU, GOOGLE MAPS!
What a blessing it was to dine here!
Food is phenomenal, and the atmosphere is amazing!
John and Maureen were down to earth, honest, kind, lovely people!
I’ll definitely be back!
To think, they’ve been here 1 yr, and I never knew it.
I’ll now be a returning, regular customer!!
Thank you, Struggletown BBQ!

Delicious BBQ! We got the brisket and were very happy! I got the Big Tex. Brisket wasn’t too fatty, but full of favor, good texture very tender. Cornbread fries and Mac and cheese were also delicious. Fries have a good seasoning; thick, crinkle cut. Cornbread was dense and moist. My son also liked his hot dog. 🙂 A bunch of different sauce options. We really liked the Carolina gold.

Didnt have a great experience here. Was excited about BBQ so asked questions and the attitude of the employees was very lacking. I get it they just work there but def felt awkward and put me off. Asked for moist brisket and got the most confusing BBQ of my life- soft but unbelievably dry. I could hardly believe the combo. Plus the bathrooms were pretty gross. Can’t really recommend

We went to Struggletown BBQ in Miller Place for the first time on 9/16 slightly before closing and it did not disappoint! The brisket platter was flavorful, tender, and very filling. What really made the experience extra special was the server/greeter, Cooper. From the moment my wife and I walked in, he greeted us with a big smile, made us feel welcome, and was kind and attentive throughout our visit. We dined in, and the space was clean and pleasant, making for an all-around great experience. We’ll definitely be back!

A little disappointing this time around! Ordered sliced brisket platter and half rack of ribs with sides. For $25 I would think the portion would be more than a few thin slices of brisket, a piece of cornbread and maybe 2 tablespoons of macncheese. The ribs were good and fell off the bone! For spending $88 I was not impressed! Might try again
