First time checking them out. Had the special, Country Fried Steak and Fries. Steak was fried well with good crunch and texture, with plenty of gravy. The gravy was a little bland, in my opinion, but not bad. A little extra salt and pepper, and that helped. The fries were crispy and had good flavor. My buddy says the beef tips are the only thing he ever gets, top notch!
The service was quick and food came out hot. The Server was great. She was quick, attentive and very friendly.
The place is a bit hidden behind the store, but for sure worth checking out. I hear it can get pretty busy, but when we were there for lunch, there were only a handful of people. I for sure see this as a local favorite and would have it’s regulars, but not so much that we felt out of place. If you’re in the area, check ’em out for sure!

Usually have really good experiences here. Saw another review that said it’s a nice patio to bring their pup, and there were no signs saying I couldn’t have my dog on the patio, so my (very well-behaved) dog and I came to get a drink. I called inside to tell them I was on the patio since there were signs saying to come tell them, but there was also a sign saying no pets inside. I was going to eat too, but after the nasty attitude from the waitress, I decided to go somewhere else.

We came on a weekday when it was rainy on the lake and despite being the only person working, Sarah did an amazing job of keeping up with a half full restaurant. The menu offers items that are specific to a South Dakota experience like sheep chislic and beef tips. I had the delicious hot ham and cheese that was served on a flaky croissant. The atmosphere is typical of a small-town bar and grill, so nothing fancy. The free popcorn is also a plus!

Neat place and had live music. We had been riding most of the day amd stopped at one of the camp grounds to visit. Power was out so we decided to meet here. Well…power was out there to and came back on as we were coming in. Beer was cold, help was friendly, and we had a great time with out group. Had some good selections of beer on tap. Go amd have fun here, won’t be disappointed.

Ordered food. Wasn’t overly busy but steady. Waited 2 hours, still no food. At that point the excuses were endless. We left after paying for our drinks without any understanding of what happened to our order.

I only gave this rating one star because I didn’t have the option to give it zero. We recently moved to Yankton and had heard great things about stringers and decided to try having supper there one night. We sat there forever while numerous waiters and waitresses talked with customers and walked around and after having not a single one of them come over to our table we simply got up and left. (They were not busy) Absolutely terrible service and won’t ever be back to try again. We were so bummed.

This place could be a gold mine during thr summer. But their food is so so and their service such. Need to teach your bartenders to wait on all the customers.

We stopped in to watch the Packer game today and was greeted with a smile. We ordered the bone in chicken wings and we can honestly say they were probably the best wings we have ever gotten! We have traveled all over the US and these wings were awesome. They were so good that we ordered more at halftime! The beer was also very cold which is great, cause once it gets warm I can drink it and waste 1/2 of it. But not here, it stayed cold throughout my lunch. We were too full otherwise, w0e were going to get their broasted chicken to go for dinner. You have to stop in here to eat!
