My husband and I are HUGE fans of Hispanic cuisine and live in Bartlett with many great options nearby but we have heard multiple times of Street Tacos in Oakland and so we just HAD to drive out here and check it our for ourselves and I must say WOW!!! Our 1st experience was wonderful, staff was very patient with us and helpful navigating the menu and answering all our questions etc., the atmosphere is fun and vibrant and the food is phenomenal, so good in fact that a couple of days later we drove from Bartlett to Oakland again to try more items. We have now been at least twice a month for about 3 months and every time we go it just seems to be even better! Before doing a review we wanted to try multiple menu items over several visits to ensure consistency in quality, service and flavor and this place hits the mark EVERY TIME for us! My absolute FAVORITE menu items so far were the conchinita tacos and barbacoa lamb tacos – I have never had anything like them anywhere! So packed with flavor. We have also enjoyed the delicious Mexican pizza, Mexican fried rice, tortas, gorditas, quesadillas and more. Their chips are unique to anywhere else we have been and we enjoy them very much – I typically prefer thin, restaurant style corn chips but these are fluffy, crisp and fresh and have become a favorite as well. We will continue to support this wonderful place, it is 100% worth the drive!

Very busy spot for street tacos and rice. We also got cucumber limeade. Everything was made fresh, the only thing I was missing was a little queso cheese and taco sauce. Please try this place out. This was a very nice establishment.

Love this amazing taco shop and Mexican food diner! The owner is an amazingly nice and helpful man who is incredibly talented and hard working. The food….is the real star of the show. It is flavorful and every bite was delicious. I had the chicken tacos (without any dairy of course because of my food allerigies) and he personally ensured that it was cooked without any butter or cheese. They were awesome tacos. Also we had the guacamole and it was fresh and flavorful. The homemade chips were a nice addition. My family got other tacos and they loved them. We also got their speciality fruit drinks and they were so yummy. I also saw on the table next to us a Mexican pizza that looked amazing. The atmosphere is quiet proper for the kind of restaurant and I highly suggest you try this awesome local restaurant that is doing amazing things!

Growing up in a Mexican household, I am picky. It is so hard to find authentic Mexican food and this by far the best tasting and authentic Mexican food I’ve found in W TN. Only thing that this place is missing is the cerveza and tequila. If they were to start selling alcohol, this place would be untouchable. Someone tell the owner!

Best tacos in Oakland. Family owned and operated and they are polite, friendly, and patient. I think their menu is perfect the way it is but if they ever did decided to expand into the more traditional Mexican restaurant with alcohol included they would eliminate any of the competition in town.

Food is always fresh and excellent. Not your typical Mexican restaurant. Definitely my favorite in town. The Mexican pizza is my favorite and you can’t go wrong with the street rice. They have a great burger and fries also.

I had heard so many good things about this place so I was excited to finally try it for myself. We ordered to go since our teenagers were waiting on us to eat back at home. Everyone was very polite and patient. The food smelled great and looked even better. All 6 of us were digging in and enjoying everything until my daughter’s boyfriend came across a hair in their street fries. Seconds later I was halfway through my chicken quesadilla and had to literally spit it out to finish pulling the hair out of it. I was so disgusted I couldn’t finish eating. Very disappointing and unexpected.
