Fantastic tacos! Stopped in from out of town.
Best street tacos I can remember having!
The green salsa/tomatillo? goes so good on the tacos.
You’ve had salsa, but you haven’t had salsa like this! Amazing. I have to find out how to get the recipe.
Al pastor was #1 for me. Super flavorful. Shredded steak next and chicken last. Not saying chicken was bad, just my ranking in flavor.
Will visit again!

I pulled up to this unassuming little red shack known as the Street Taco Shack in Canton and let me tell you, don’t let the humble setup fool you. What it lacks in square footage, it more than makes up for in flavor and charm.

I ordered four tacos: two carnitas, one shredded steak, and one al pastor. The carnitas were so tender they practically whispered “thank you” as I took a bite. The shredded steak was juicy and rich, like a cowboy who hit oil, and the al pastor had a savory perfection to it with just enough kick to make me question my life choices but in the best way possible.

Each taco would typically be piled high with fresh cilantro, grilled or raw onions, melted monterey jack cheese, all hugged by a warm tortilla of your choosin. I personally asked for no onions and I also wanted the cilantro on the side. I control my own destiny. The tacos also came with some limes and salsa verde, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Now, onto the rice and beans. They were…..there. Let’s just say they showed up to the party but didn’t bring much personality. If the tacos were a mariachi band, the rice and beans were the guy in the corner making awkward eye contact. But hey, not everyone’s born to be the star.

Overall, this place is a must stop if you’re in the area. Just skip the rice and beans and double down on tacos. You’ll thank me later.

Rating this because of the customer service. We are never coming back and food was MID! plus they tried charging my husband $10 for two cans of coke and he said there’s no way? And the person said “oh I heard two bottles??” Nice try. If you want good tacos go to Dallas.

I have been going here since 2003. The best tacos in east Texas.

We stopped coming here a few years ago bc our order was wrong multiple times in a row. I would usually order guacamole and chips but the guacamole wouldn’t have any seasoning and the chips were usually stale. Their queso was watery yet chunky with no flavor. The corn tortillas for the street tacos were soaked in grease which was off-putting. The guy taking the orders years ago didn’t know the menu.

We decided to try again in December 2025.

The food here is quite good if they get the order correct. The salsa is still hit-and-miss but it is freshly made. We get burritos, but they don’t always roll them properly, so there will be bites of a single ingredient instead of everything evenly distributed. I’d rather support a small business with hiccups than go to Taco Bell.

Los Tacos de Villa in Wills Point is superior but probably out of the way for most people.

We were passing through from Dallas to Louisiana and decided to adventure for dinner. The food was AMAZING! I got a taco plate and tried one each of the carnitas, barbacoa, & el pastor tacos with rice and beans on the side. I wish I had more room to just keep eating more. Delicious! Well worth the stop and eating outside on picnic tables (they had misters with fans, so the heat wasn’t bad at all.). I plan to return when I’m in Canton to eat again!

Amazing tacos! My husband and I stopped after coming from Yesterland (amazing BTW). Street Taco Shack is really a small shack but the tacos are amazing! They have a drive-thru as well as outside picnic tables. The weather was great so we sat outside. I decided to order 1 taco of each meat (to try them all) carnitas, chicken, barbacoa, pastor and fajita. My favorite were carnitas and fajita, but they’re all good. They are good size tacos for $2.50 each. Definitely coming back if we are ever in the area again.

The absolute best tacos! My friend and I stumbled upon this place once we were meeting up with a friend in Canton and it was the best decision we made. The tacos were fresh and made to order. The meat was well seasoned. I recommend trying the chicken fajita and shredded beef taco on corn tortilla. Every time I’m in Canton, I will stop here for tacos! It is well worth it! The tamales are delicious as well. You can get the tamales available to eat now or take them frozen to eat later.

Street tacos just how I like them.
Service was fast and friendly. They walked up to the car to take our order and it was ready when we got to the window.
