This is my 5th time at this Restaurant and we decided to have dinner here for our anniversary… i know the place and food well as i come back for my dish.

I would say that the food is good as usual but the service is terrible, if i could rate zero star i would give them the service.

The bread they served is very cold (not COLD but very cold) when i asked server to heat up, her face turn upset with us. Once when our appetizer came

oyster, octopus and mussel dished. We ordered more bread with same server. And we got supper cold breads again but this time we did not ask to heat but we left it there. So our server disappeared and did not came to ask for the food or any feedback which is fine. another server came to clear appetizer dishes, he asked if every thing okay, i asked him if the bread should be serving warm – hot and he replied that the bread is fresh by this morning and we not do any heat when serve.

The moat awful moment is when we walk out from restaurant our server saw us walk out, instead of saying farewell but she turn her face away intentionally. Once when we walk outside we saw her eating food in opened kitchen with other chef and she saw me that i saw her again then she turned her back which is totally impolite to such a restaurant.

Last years, we got male server and he was far better and friendly.

We not expect a good service and we do NOT expect RUDE service too.

We did not bring up anything because we did not want to ruin our night.

If you go for food and not mind for service then it is a place. But there are plenty of restaurants in portland that delivers great food and great service

The seafood at Street & Co. in Portland was outstanding from start to finish. Everything we had was incredibly fresh and expertly prepared. The fresh oysters were some of the best we’ve had in New England, the grilled octopus appetizer was tender and flavorful, the mussels marinara was rich and satisfying, and the lobster fra diavolo pasta delivered bold, balanced flavor. The grilled Bluefin tuna entrée with blistered cherry tomatoes, capers, preserved lemon, and broccolini was exceptional and stood out as one of the best tuna dishes we’ve had anywhere. Every dish was top quality and memorable. Our waiter, Malcolm, elevated the experience with thoughtful, attentive service, genuine warmth, and careful guidance on what to order. His kindness and attentiveness made the night feel special. We will not hesitate to come back on our next visit to Portland.

Stopped in for dinner here and had some of the best seafood in the area. We had some fresh John’s River and Scarborough oysters, delicious Nebbiolo wine to start. We got the grilled lobster with a diavolo sauce and the day boat scallops. The scallops were tender and sweet and the grilled lobster had a beautiful charred flavor while still being soft and juicy. Enjoyed our meal thoroughly and will be back if we are in the area.

I just wanted to share our recent experience at Street & Co. I met up with my cousins for a night out, and we had reserved a table about a month in advance. This was not my first time dining at Street & Co.—in fact, it has been a favorite of ours since the mid-1990s.

Our experience last night was, by far, the best yet. Our server, Nico, was wonderful and very personable. He kept us laughing, informed us of all the specials, and shared some of his personal favorites. The rest of the staff was equally impressive—attentive, friendly, and efficient. Our water glasses were always full, food was delivered promptly, and our table was cleared seamlessly.

We ordered the mussels, three entrées, drinks, and dessert, and everything was unbelievable. There wasn’t a single morsel left to take home. I highly recommend Street & Co.—there’s a reason we keep coming back.

Thank you once again for a truly spectacular evening.

Really fresh seafood. Almost forgot what a proper New England seafood dish should taste like. I haven’t been to many seafood restaurants lately (probably my first real one in over a year and a half) and this was a great reminder of what I’ve been missing.

Maine Mussels – Plump, juicy, and full of natural sweetness. The white wine sauce was classic, with just the right touch of garlic, but honestly, the mussels didn’t need much help. A few were slightly mushy, but overall, one of the best mussel dishes I’ve had in recent memory.

Dorade – Bathed in chili oil, yet somehow all the natural juices from the fish, clams, and mussels stayed distinct. The dorade had just the right thickness to hold its moisture and flavor inside.

Garlic Lobster Pasta – Almost went for their signature lobster fra diavolo but opted for this to avoid flavor overlap with the dorade. I know it sounds a bit cliché, but the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, with that firm bite that worked really well with the lobster.

Best reservation I could get was for 7:15pm on a Tuesday. That day it was on the cold side for outside seating even though they had heaters. We ordered oyster, Bluefin Tuna, cod and Corvina. The Corvina was the special of the day. The Tuna and Corvina were very good. The cod was on the salty side. My roasted tomatoes tasted like they were cooked in the brine juice from the capers. Not fond of vinegar so I didn’t eat the roasted tomatoes. The oyster were a good size. We were seated next a window giving us a view of the alleyway it faced. It was a nice alleyway. If they had seated people outside it would have been awkward. It would have felt like strangers were sitting next to us because there was a table and chair right next to the window. We did get bread which was very good. Nice chewy inside with a good crust on the outside. Overall good.

This was our second time to the restaurant on our annual Maine trip. The service and food are consistently top notch. Our server was warm, welcoming and enthusiastic. We ordered one of the specials the Icelandic cod which was amazing. The lobster linguine was great as well. The best was the blueberry tart – it is the BEST blueberry tart we’ve ever had! Definitely will be back again!

Delicious seafood restaurant that is very busy and crowded. Reservations are hard to get but if you show up when they open, they will accommodate you. Best food I’ve had in Portland, Maine while spending the weekend eating. I have not tried all the restaurants but if you are in town, this is a must try location. The muscles are the best ive had in a very long time.

Upon a recommendation by a local we ate here and luckily had made a reservation weeks prior. We had scallops and fish along with a salad and oysters. Unfortunately they forgot to put the oyster order in so we had them after the meal which ended up fine. Service was great and helpful insofar the hostess set up with a reservation at their sister restaurant. It’s a bit noisy.

The clam linguini was unbelievable! Tender clams, perfectly cooked pasta, and a fantastic garlic / butter / white wine sauce with perfect umami flavor. Pro tip: the bread in the leftover sauce is also amazing. Clean plate club tonight! Will be back!
