Went on a Thursday night, was packed. Me and the missus loved the sourdough bread, the coconut and pineapple curried mussels were amazing and the rib eye was perfect. The only issue was the disabled toilet not locking which caused some embarrassment for my missus when someone walked in on her. The staff knew about it but as its an accessible toilet not allowed to fix the issue themselves. However the staff were brilliant about it and it wouldn’t put us off going back as the food is top notch. Gotta check this place out folks…

Stravaigin was one of the spots we chose during our four-night stay in Glasgow, and we left genuinely impressed. As there was a coeliac at our table, we ordered most of our dishes gluten-free, and the experience was seamless. The menu appears to change seasonally—I’m writing this about a month after our trip and noticed that some items have since changed—but everything we tried at the time was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavour.
From the main courses, the venison was our absolute favourite: beautifully cooked, rich, and perfectly balanced. We also went for the beef cheek, which was equally delicious—tender, comforting, and deeply satisfying. We tried a burger as well; it was fine, though more on the ordinary side compared to the rest of the menu. But the real stars of the evening were undoubtedly the desserts. It had been a long time since we’d enjoyed sweets this much. We had the panna cotta, crème caramel, and chocolate mousse, and each one somehow managed to outshine the last. Honestly, they were exceptional.
This is the kind of place you’d happily return to just for dessert alone. A big thank you to the team at Stravaigin for such a memorable meal.

What a great experience visiting Stravagin! Food and team were stunning. We had a table for three tucked high in the mezzanine… we all loved that location and will be asking to be sat there again. 2 of our party ate from the Sunday roast menu… for starters… soup of the day which was extremely flavourful, and seared cauliflower with hazelnuts and curry leaves… I highly recommend this dish it was delicious! These were followed by the roast rump of beef, which was tender and cooked to perfection, and all the accompanying vegetables cooked perfectly, special mention for the hispi cabbage … and the onion purée. Our other diner chose the a la carte menu… grilled sardines to start cooked to perfection.., followed by a loin of venison cooked to perfection. We forced ourselves to have dessert…none of which disappointed. Fantastic crème brulle, and a velvety chocolate cremaux, and i really enjoyed the quirky serving of Brie with brioche and onion chutney. Can’t wait to return to this gem of a Glasgow restaurant again soon. Well done to all the team.

The three of us ended after booking it last min online. We were greeted by Esme, a very knowledgeable friendly server who far exceeded expectations. Her explantations on the dishes were 2nd to none and was so lovely and smiley. I can’t remember when I last met as good a server.
The food was very very good, a good mix of fusion of dishes full of flavour. The ox cheek, haggis and fish ball were next level.

Only thing, huge wait between starters and main (over an hour). Our food had got lost in the kitchen, but to be fair they knocked off all our starters which was a really nice gesture and appreciated. Thank you for that!
I did feel the service could have been a little bit more attentive at times.
Also I didn’t really enjoy the dessert – the cookie was cold and not what I expected. I was expecting a hot cookie and icecream, felt like I couldn’t say because didn’t want to be hard work after they knocked those starters off.
The ox bitterballens were sooo good! As I say, the food was really tasty! My boyfriend and friends enjoyed their dishes too.

After a recommendation form a friend my husband and I went here for lunch. We were up in Glasgow visiting family.
The food was absolutely fantastic and really tasty. Service was really good and they gave us some good recommendations of things to try. We didn’t feel rushed and the atmosphere was really nice.
