We’ve lived in Stratford almost 5 years and live a couple min from here and have never tried this place till now. Such a hidden gem and I’m upset we didn’t try it sooner.
Good old fashioned breakfast spot, great prices for what you get. Never ending coffee. It’s a very welcoming place. We were checked in on several times but it wasn’t annoying. Definitely going to come here more often. You should as well!

Stratford Skillet is a charming, family-run spot that delivers both warm hospitality and delicious comfort food. The service is friendly and attentive, making you feel like a regular from the moment you sit down.
The star of the menu is definitely the skillet—hearty, customizable, and packed with flavor. I highly recommend tailoring it to your taste; the sausage in particular is outstanding and worth trying.
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for a casual breakfast or brunch with family and friends. Overall, a great local gem that’s well worth a visit!

I love going to Stratford Skillet. It really has that small-business, hometown feel where the staff treat you like family and actually remember you. The food tastes home-cooked and comforting — nothing fancy, just really good, honest meals that hit the spot every time. It’s the kind of place you go when you want a warm meal and a welcoming vibe. Definitely one of my go-to spots in town.

Simple diner, seat yourself. Went around 9am for breakfast. Took about 5 minutes for a server to notice me.
Coffee tasted burnt. Got a side of Biscuits & Gravy, my gravy tasted and looked more like a clam chowder and not the white sausage gravy taste from most places.
Toast only had butter in the center and was not spread evenly. Might be hard to tell in the picture but the corn beef was undercook in the center. Barely any seasoning on the corn beef, there was salt & pepper shakers on the table to add as you wish.
The home potatoe fries tasted like a dash of old bay seasoning and a hint of collard greens, very different from what I was expecting so it really wasn’t to my taste.
Seems to be a popular spot with locals, there was take out orders being picked up almost every 5 minutes while I was dining.
Prices were okay but I would not come back for reasons above.

Pictured is their hash and eggs. Nothing to special about it sadly it came out cold. Everything else about this place was nice. Friendly staff and prices were reasonable.

We stopped by for brunch around 12pm on a Thursday. The place wasn’t busy and the waitress told us to pick our seat. We did have to wait long for the waitress to take our order & to bring the food. The food was ok; I ordered the corn beef hash breakfast & it was salty. My family member said his dish was good. Overall the food is not too bad and the price is good. Lastly parking is bad; if you come during busy times; good luck with parking!

Very racist establishment. Bacon egg and cheese sandwiches is great, however if you are from the “Brown” community be prepared for stares and remarks from customers. A white woman decided to say a remark to me, and proceeded to tell a white worker who then stood outside and stare me down, and waited for me to come out my car. At the point I started my car and left the establishment. After leaving I called the restaurant to inform them that I will not come inside to pick up my food due to the conflict that I endured in the parking lot.
I will NO Longer support this restaurant.

First timer here. My friend and I both sampled the sausage gravy, she got the biscuits and gravy I got the country fried steak. Eggs ordered over easy and scrambled cooked through were both perfect. The gravy was thick and delicious, biscuits were fresh and crisp and the breaded cutlet was super crispy and balanced well with the gravy.
Bottomless coffee, friendly staff, decent prices. We left comfortably full.

Really friendly. Great menu. Excellent cornbeef hash! The homefries are wonderful. The have a little onion and peppers in it and did not need salt, pepper, or ketchup! Clean and nice atmosphere. Well worth it to get up early for breakfast.
