Mom and pop shop that changed management a couple years back; I’ve had the sandwiches a couple times, and it’s always hit the spot! As a San Jose native, there’s a lot of good bánh mì places but this one is definitely solid. All the sandwiches are made to order and you get value for the prices, especially with the buy 5 get one free deal. The service is great and the owners are usually there in the back! I recommend giving it a try. My go-to is the bánh mì đặc biệt, it’s a classic and I personally like my sandwiches a bit fatty to balance with the veggies.

The bahn mi I had was 80% fat and 20% meat literally chunks of fat not the good fat that’s on pork belly but the fat that you usually cut off and throw away. I hate to leave a negative review on a small business but this is the second time I’ve been here thinking it would have improved a little bit after six months With all the negative reviews, but I don’t think I’ll come back here ever again. There’s a lot of good options in San Jose. It’s just convenient for me so I gave it a shot.

I came here with my ex girlfriend during the Pandemic, and had some good Bahn Mi sandwiches here. I came not long after that and the guy made me food and me not realizing it was cash only and had no cash he kindly gave the food to me anyways. I came back 30 minutes later and gave him the money and a $20 tip for his kindness. Then today happened. It had been years and I craved a Bahn Mi – but noticed the reviews of this place mentioning spoiled food more than a few times. Today I had a Bahn Mi with cucumbers that were beyond bad, and the pork was 90% fat. The Pandan bread that I had years ago was less green than I remember, and had literal mold spores growing on the bottom. The green milk drink with jelly also tasted off. I was sad to say everything was spoiled because the lady was so nice and despite not speaking any English got my order right. I noticed hot foods and raw sausage meat were left on the tables at room temperature to be sold and had been there for hours. I’m not exaggerating when I say this place can kill somebody. Too many instances of people saying their food is spoiled, and their prepared foods are sitting out there hours on end and are all room temperature. I still have it a chance despite the risk and my god I have never received three different food items that were all well past their eat by date.

This place is small and has everything mostly already prepared I got some spring rolls and let me tell you they had the best sauce I’ve ever tasted! I order a lot of spring rolls and most sauces tend to be petty disgusting but this place does it delicious!! They also had some sesame treats with melted sugar these were pretty tasty as well!! By far the best the lady was really nice and pretty welcoming!

The sandwiches were old, tasted nasty by the time we bought them and ate them 5 minutes later. We ended up threw away 6 sandwiches after taking couple bites of them all to try to find if anything good (buy 5 get 1 free) and the meat in 1 of them even rotten, smell really bad. So upset.
