There was a lot of hype about this place in the vegan community, and man oh man did the hype not even come close to how good the food and atmosphere there was!!
The staff were extroadinarily lovely too! They even put a candle in the cake slice we got to celebrate my girlfriends birthday! Btw the cake was incredible!!

Wow the food Ahhhmazing, spicy harissa lentil soup yummy, fancy nachos so so delicious and those garlic potatoes were just wow. The service just top of the line. Maggie was theee best, service this grate is hard to find and the ambiance 10 out of 10.

We love Strange Town and it is one of our favorite restaurants in the city. The dishes are creative and tasty, the wine list is always awesome and unique, and the staff are the nicest. The spring menu is so good! I highly recommend you come here if you love food.
As a side note, we are far from vegan but good food is good food. Don’t be scared to come if you don’t follow a plant-based diet. You won’t feel like you are missing anything at all!

My mom is newly vegan, so we took her to Strangetown to celebrate her birthday – it was a fantastic decision! The ambience was cozy and intimate, the food was delightful, and we greatly enjoyed having Maggie as our server. She has great expertise on wine selection and helped make the birthday experience special. I look forward to coming back and trying new menu items!

We’ve been here many times this past year – and it’s worth it every time. Love seeing the changes to the menu. New seasonal items get added periodically. The fancy nachos and the chocolate cake are staples!! I’m sure we’ll be back soon. This is my favorite vegan place in Milwaukee! Run, don’t walk, to Strange Town!
P.S. Thanks to our waitress for being an awesome host. We had to wait an hour for a table because it was so crowded. And yet she was cracking jokes and keeping us entertained the whole time.

Delicious food, very friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere with a live vinyl DJ. Great spot for a date night, and dishes are sharable. We got the nachos and kimchi soba noodles. Both were excellent, especially enjoyed the carrot queso on the nachos

I wish we had a place like this near us in Chicago! Our second visit was as good as our first. Very tasty, thoughful food and excellent cocktails. Friendly service, too. From the 2025 winter menu we highly recommend the fig & olive tapanade, fried cauliflower, orzo, nachos, and chocolate cake. If you are a fan of old fashions then defiitely order the Curious George. The espresso martini was also very good. Yum!!
