I had the chili relleno tamales and they did not disappoint! Their salsa was also super hot so be careful. Horchata was nice as well. My friends enjoyed the burria tacos as well and they gave you quite a bit of meat. The owner was really friendly and came by to say hi so that was nice

You know the food is authentic when it smells like your nana’s house and large servings just like you were eating at home! I moved here in 2000 and have not found authentic Mexican food where EVERYTHING on the menu is home made and delicious until now! And whatever you order make sure to wash it down with a perfectly sweetened Horchata! GREAT food served with ALOHA by Marhen, Sam and their crew!

I can not say enough good things about the service, food, and the people. We started following their pop-ups about two or three years ago. We have caught them at Bellows, Haleiwa, and in between. The tacos are prepared fresh when ordered which I personally think is worth the wait! Pineapple Tamales raised an eyebrow when I first heard about it but it’s easily my second favorite item offered by these guys. We booked them a year in advance for catering on August 1st 2023 and it was the best decision as our guests raved about the taste!! Many asked for their contact so that they too could book them for future events. They were on time, clean, and made SO much food! I’m always happy to support this business ran by such a beautiful family. Definitely try their watermelon lemonade made by their sweet little helpers (daughters).

We had the amazing pleasure of having Straight Outta Husk cater our wedding and boy was it amazing! The way they treated our guest was so kind and like family! And the food….. NOTHING BUT PERFECTION! Guest have personally told me it’s not just the best wedding food they’ve eaten but the best birria tacos they’ve ever had! (And we are Hispanic lol) We also had our pups in our wedding and they were soooo kind to include them in the menu! Our pups are our children so we appreciated that more than they could imagine. I couldn’t have chosen a better place to be a part of our special day! Can’t thank them enough!

Me and my girl were upset that we hadn’t found any authentic Mexican food on the island. By chance I ate their food at a small stand in Harbor Vintage. The tacos de lengua was were delicious and savory. The portions were large, sauce was great. Tortillas were soft and warm. On top of that, the horchata was really good. Guys deserve more recognition.

I’m from Los Angeles but currently live in Hawaii. This is the absolute best Mexican food I’ve tried on island. And some tacos have made me CRY here. It takes me back home with every bite. My favorite is the chile relleno tamal! I ordered two but could have just had one. Will I? No. Two because I miss it when the first is gone. Expect a short wait, it gets busy but that’s because it’s good. You can see how hard they work in the kitchen which I appreciate and understand the wait times…so you should too. Definitely give it a try and don’t listen to the fake one star reviews. I have kept up with this restaurant on Instagram and they were in a lawsuit with someone who sent people to do fake reviews. Straight Outta Husk won tho so that should tell you something. Oh yeah and the horchata is the BEST I’ve tasted. Even including the ones from home.
