This Family owned and operated restaurant is a must go to spot in Richmond. We think its the best smoked Brisket, Ribs, Pork, Turkey, Chicken and Sausage around. Come decide for yourself. You can dine-in, eat outside on picnic table or take it to go. Traveling with your 4 legged family? No problem. Dogs are are always welcome to join you at the picnic tables outside.

Highly recommended. The food was fresh and very delicious. We all had the pulled pork and it melted in my mouth. Even had some burnt ends with it, yummy! Service was great. Very kind and through. Although we got our order to go the atmosphere seemed very warm and inviting. The prices were a little high but, very competitive with other restaurants.

Hallelujah! We found a gem driving through and stopping for lunch. When this Texas girl found a Texas BBQ place, we HAD to check it out. The smell and rustic vibe outside told my gut it would be great. We were not disappointed. We got the Texas Sampler platter and got to try a little of everything. The burnt ends, Jalapeño sausage and cornbread were amazing!! I’ve told everyone to stop and check it out. I’m already planning my next visit on the way back. Yum!

The BBQ here is delicious and the brisket is my favorite. I always get the more lean slice which is what I recommend if your not into too much fat. But the little bit of fat I did get on my brisket was actually very good as well! Surprisingly it was an excellent plate! I look forward to coming back here every month!

A small place and not busy on this Friday night, which was surprising because the barbecue is solid. It’s “Texas barbecue” so I went with the brisket. The cook asked if I minded it being mostly moist, which I definitely did not. It was not nearly as fatty as I expected, turning out to be quite delicious.
At the table, I dug into the meal. A good portion of brisket which did need a tiny bit of sauce to bring out the flavor. With a big portion of excellent mac & cheese that was cheesy with firm noodles and a great flavor. Potato salad was good with firm potatoes and a tasty mix.
This was a good meal and I enjoyed it muchly. My friend chose the pulled pork and pronounced it delicious.

Just passing through and stopped for lunch. This is legit BBQ. We had a sampler plate with ribs, sausage, and brisket. Mac & cheese plus a cold cucumber salad were our sides. Everything was absolutely amazing. The establishment was clean and the staff was nice. The place was pretty busy at lunch. Seemed to be a lot of locals, which is always a good sign. I would recommend a stop if you are in the area.

I have revised my rating. I believe the taste is still exceptional however I have encountered some issues.
1lb of pork is listed for $14.99 but I was charged $16. I did get a refund but it was frustrating.
But the bigger complaint is being charged
.50 cents for a ramakin of BBQ sauce that was not even half filled. And having quite a lot of fat in my order. I have supplied pictures of both. I really hope this place improves their quality.

Fantastic food and atmosphere! My family tried the Texas Tater, brisket, chicken, mac n cheese, greens, pasta salad, chuckwagon beans, and corn cake. We loved everything and plan to visit again when in the area. The mustard sauce is a must try!
It wasn’t a big enough issue to reduce the 5 stars, but we asked for vinegar for the greens not realizing it was malt vinegar. I didn’t ask if they had regular. And we REALLY wanted to try the nachos, but those are only available on Thursdays.
The trip was still worth ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
Also, we appreciated the recognition of law enforcement and responders!
