Wow!! I cannot believe up until recently I had never heard of this place. I am a chef and for years I have lived off and on in the area. Sort of saddened that I missed out on this superb market for so long. The first time I purchased anything from Story’s it was a beef filet which was outstanding. They trimmed and tied it perfectly. It was so beautiful I almost didn’t want to cook it. Recently I was in the Cedar Springs area and I mentioned the place to my husband and he decided we should stop in. We grabbed a couple things but I really want to mention the incredible thick cut marinated pork steaks they had on special. $3.29/lb I would have paid $12/lb they were that good. I cooked them on the grill with indirect heat and they were tender, juicy and the flavor was 5 star. They just melted in your mouth. High 5’s to Story’s. Keep up the great work and I will be sure to be visiting more often. Too bad you don’t deliver to White Cloud. Oh and to mention you carry Boar’s Head meats!! The Best!!!

Excellent fresh meat. If you’re looking for a certain cut that is not in the case he will cut one for you. They serve many variety of sandwiches and cold salads among everything else. The ice cream is so good. Great selection of cheeses, jerky, and meat sticks. Employees are very helpful. Prices are high but you get what you pay for.

I went into storys for the first time today. I used to live in standale and was spoiled with Sobie meats, so it wasn’t what I was expecting at first. I ordered a 3 lb chuck roast for a pot roast tonight. Ive made the same pot roast, the same way, with the same slow cooker for the past 5 year now and this time, with storys, my meat was so solid and dense even after 6hrs on high. I ended up transferring to my Dutch oven and then cooking it for an additional TWO hours on 350 before the meat was finally falling apart.

This place is absolutely fantastic !!! Their sandwiches are so delicious!!! I always get the hog wild sandwich on sourdough bread and my boyfriend gets a build your own. They have a fresh deli, everything cut fresh right there, cheese and all! They have a little grocery store type in there as well with all sorts of goodies! I bought their spicy feta dip from the deli last time and it was to die for delicious! Check this place out!!
