The reviews don’t lie! The chef is exceptional with his art in cooking. My poached egg with friend chicken was amazing. Coffee tastes great and customer service is attentive and we can’t recommend it enough!!! I finished my food before I could snap a pic. Worth each bite!

The homemade cinnamon roll were delicious. We’ll be back definitely.

This is one of our new favorite restaurants! We’d heard great things, but we always go in prepared for a new place to not live up to expectations. However— this blew our expectations out of the water. The menu was approachable and curated, the specials were fresh and inspired, and the service was great. The food, obviously, was the star of the show. We ordered the mushroom handpies, potatoes au gratin (ham on the side) and short rib gnocchi. Each plate had the most beautiful flavors that worked together so well. I read their offerings are an elevated take on midwestern favorites, and omg did they hit their mark. That was more than enough food for the two of us, but we ordered the warm cherry upside down cake for dessert, and again, perfect. We were stuffed, but we didn’t regret a single bite. All together, with one beer, the total was around $100, which we expected. I often feel that smaller plates are a bit pricey for the amount and quality of the food you receive, but I did not feel that way here. Wholeheartedly recommend ❤️

Oh my gosh!! I have loved. Storyhill BKC since it opened!! The first time I attended, I ordered crêpe monsieur Which it seems has become a signature dish And thank goodness!! I have eaten there a number of times and tried other offerings. They always are amazing but my first love remains in the menu! Crepe Monsieur rings all the bells!! Enjoyed or again with a friend today!! The most amazing dish! The greatest combination of flavors!! Beautiful runny poached eggs, the most delightful mustard glaze , amazing pulled ham a perfect crepe and oh those diced pickles!!

First visit was enjoyable. The food is of great quality, fresh, and nice presentation but overall I was not impressed. I enjoyed my meal and the service I received but there was not much wow factor with the food. I did not care much for the BBQ carrots because that amount of spice on an empty stomach was not fun. The crème brûlée was especially disappointing – it wasn’t smooth and was quite chunky. I normally have no problems finishing my dessert but I did not care to finish mine.

Great meal, great staff would recommend to anyone/everyone visiting the area. Probably the best meal I’ve had all year and priced far better than the other very high end restaurants in the area. If you’re going with a group of larger than 4 I would probably make a reservation just make things easy on the staff for planning their seating.

Dishes consumed by my wife and I include: crayfish rangoon, potatoes au gratin, elote, veal ribs and the twin mushroom hand pies. Dessert was peach cobbler. Apologies that some of the food in he photos is partially consumed but we forgot we were taking pictures a couple of times in our excitement

Neighborhood spot that feels polished but still relaxed. I went for brunch and the short rib hash was rich, balanced, and actually filling without being heavy. The space is bright, service is easygoing, and everything feels thoughtfully put together. Solid place when you want something nicer but not over the top

Story Hill BKC is my happy place. We are neighbors and are so grateful to have this restaurant nearby. The food is spectacular. While I commonly find myself distracted by the amazing specials, the Butter Chicken and the Glazed Trout with Waffle are my go-tos. The chicken meatball, paired with their delicious flaky rolls are also a favorite. Or the tartare. And that’s just the dinner menu!!! The staff is exceptionally friendly and the whole bar-side commonly fills up with other neighbors and friends. The vibe is terrific. If you can get there during fish-fry season, GET THE WALLEYE! I think it is arguably one of the best in a city of great fish fries.

This has been on our list for a while and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed every dish we ordered and the communal sharing options available for the table. Unique ingredients and flavor profiles that weren’t too intimidating. Try the whipped feta, escargot and the rabbit.

It was also incredible to be somewhere with a full bar and n/a options. I enjoyed having a latte since it was cold out.

The food and atmosphere were really good overall. Quick service, cinnamon roll was good, sausage roll was terrific, and Shakshouka was decent. I’d probably order something other than the Shakshouka next time, as it was a bit busy and I couldn’t taste the tomato sauce as much as I think you should with that dish.

$8 house wine happy hour. No HH food discounts. Shared shortrib gnocchi and trout with waffle for dinner. The former deeply beefy, satisfying like a great beef stew; the trout cooked just right and a visual feast. Friendly, competent service, setting airy and a bit hip.
