I visited Stormin’ Norman’s Shipfaced Saloon for the first time on May 7, 2023. I had been wanting to try this place for a long time as I drive past it daily and always take notice of all the cars in the parking lot. After glancing at it from the outside so many times over the past two years, I must admit that what I had envisioned the interior looking like didn’t match what I had drawn up in my brain when I walked in. Not that it was a bad thing…just an observation.

My brother ordered a 22 oz. Coors Light and I got a 16 oz. Blue Moon. Our server brought our beers out quickly and they were cold and tasted good (you never know what you are going to get with draft beer). We ordered the chips and queso for an appetizer and they were plentiful and the cheese dip was average. I ordered the cheeseburger and fries while my brother ordered the club sandwich with tater tots. My major takeaway from the food was the French fries. I had never ate a version of fries like the ones at Stormin’ Norman’s. They are spear-shaped, unique, and very tasty. My cheeseburger was good and my brother enjoyed his sandwich and tater tots. Prices are below average from what you typically pay in Spokane which was a very pleasant surprise.

Our server was Sarah M. (as indicated on the receipt) and was fabulous. She treated us well, got our order correct, and was engaging. We wore our Bloomsday shirts so she talked to us about the race for a little bit. There are plenty of large televisions in the bar so we got front row seats to watching the Mariners and the NBA Playoffs. The bar is a little on the darker side lighting wise but I know a lot of people prefer that. We enjoyed our time at Stormin’ Norman’s and hope to return.

Have you ever driven past a place that you knew was a local joint but since you were not a local you passed it by? That’s this place in my opinion. But whatever. After going to Greenbluff my wife and I said let’s go have lunch there on our way home. Well, yea, the entrance is kinda weird location-wise, but this place is AWESOME. Been there twice since that fateful day. Great fish and chips, great burgers, great fries, and most importantly GREAT service. I’m not kidding. Yup. It’s a true local joint and they live for the Packers, and that’s alright. Nobody cared that we come there to watch the Broncos or Bill’s if the Packers aren’t on. Sure, going into a local joint can seem intimidating from time to time, but Norman’s is a true treasure. And we live in Idaho…

Went on a Tuesday night, they have tacos for 2.00 each. Music playing outside in the patio area, and a cool little gas fire pit type of table. They were busy but service was great, friendly staff…. You can smoke on the patio if you’re a smoker.

Nice vibe and atmosphere, give them a try!

Probably my favorite local joint where I’m not a local. Came in with a few construction guys from Spokane for the Friday prime rib.. what a great meal. Priced right, great service and a FUN place.

My boyfriend brought me here. As I have a thing for pirates and mermaids. I would have expected more of a theme. However the food was good, the drinks were good and the service was excellent. A little bit of a drive for us but we will go again if we’re in the area.

Great people and really tasty food! Specials every day and the steak and bake is my favorite in town. (Thursday special) Clam chowder on Friday (best in town, I’ve tried them all) Try the steak bites! Love the huge fire pit on the enclosed patio. Be good to the Merfolk!

For a bar, this is a treat. It took a LONG time to get food, but they were very busy, so understandable. Good prices and fun atmosphere (minus the really drunk guy hustling pool). We will be back, for sure.

Great food, great prices, great wait staff and drinks. Atmosphere wasnt bad, just a few surly patrons.. as in not very welcoming. But, again the staff more than makes up for it.

Interesting place. Food was good with fair prices. Service was friendly and helpful. Definitely a local bar and grill as most customers seem to know each other. We had the fish and chips and the rueben sandwich. We both preferred the home fries over the onion rings.

We were excited to try this place when they opened back up during the pandemic. We unfortunately didn’t make it until last night when my mom was in town and wanted to try them also.
We sadly won’t be back.

The service was hit and miss. Walked in to no greeting, no sign letting us know to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. They had one server who looked like she was also bartending. Some blond chick was dressed as an employee but she was too busy chatting and tossing her hair around a big group of guys and a few women outside and playing with the bingo lady’s toddler. She was of no help to the restaurant inside. Our server was alright, she looked like she was working twice as hard to keep people taken care of. She definitely wasn’t super friendly though and only came by for drinks and food.

We ordered nachos and the meat was disgustingly salty and overcooked and dry. There is no chicken option, only ground beef and the seasoning ruined it. We barely ate half of them as it was just too salty. The seasoning needs cut with another product or just ditch it altogether.

I ordered the club sandwich, it was good but the side salad left a lot to be desired. They threw the 5 small green pieces on top and everything below it was white. I picked through it all looking for edible salad leaves and got nothing. Should have taken a pic at the end of what the salad really looked like.

I get that prices are lower than other places we go to, but whyyyy use iceberg lettuce? It’s bland, no flavor and negligible on nutrition. My club sandwich had nice leafy lettuce or Romaine on it but my salad was a plate of all white “lettuce” with a few green pieces in there. Had one bite and couldn’t eat it, I don’t know if it’s their way of cutting costs or if they always serve iceberg as the salad. Either way I’d rather pay a couple bucks more to eat a real salad.
