The Grounded Bohemian
Located in the downtown area of Homewood, Illinois, this restaurant was well-staffed, friendly and the food was delicious. We went for dinner one day and brunch the next day.
The Salmon Teriyaki was absolutely delicious and filling. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the sauce was wonderful.
The Shrimp and Grits was also delicious, but the salmon was my favorite!

My husband and I came into town for the weekend and waned to say goodbye to everyone so the plan was to meet at this restaurant if you can. When we first arrived the waiter Jonathan sat 5 of us that were at the restaurant. After we were seated I told him that more people would be coming and we would need additional seating Jonathan said no problem. We placed drink orders and ordered one appetizer. I had a Blueberry Lemon Drop Martini made with Grey Goose and it was delicious. I also had the Cajun Cobb Salad it was a generous portion and it was delicious. My husband had The Stoney Burger and it was good and too much for him to eat. The fries were hot and delicious and the presentation for both dishes were nice. Several guest came in and placed an order with Jonathan. At the end of the evening Jonathan informed us that we cannot split the check for the individual parties. That would have been nice to know but, okay. We had the bill but, 4 people had not received their food. We got the manager Bree involved – we wanted the 4 meals that had not been eaten taken off of the bill (two were kids meals – they had to leave to go to a parent teachers conference ). While Bree agreed to removed the orders from the bill the food was sent to the table from the kitchen. They packed the food to go and Bree removed it from the bill. Our large party of maybe 12 people was to much for Jonathan to handle alone and I understand that but, what I don’t understand is why know one said to me “Your party started with 5 you and only and 3 more” or something. Bree (the manager) said it was Jonathan’s fault and Jonathan said it was a kitchen mix up. Everyone in my party had a great time until the mishap. Bree truly recovered the situation

SPG in Homewood is one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a very long time. We will absolutely be back as this has to have been our fifth time here already! Rene was an amazing bartender and server! We enjoyed the Bluefin Crab and Smoked Gouda dip as a shareable prior to our meals and it was AMAZING! Take what you think is amazing and multiply that by infinity and then you have that dip! Next we had Lollipop Lamb chops, glazed Brussels sprouts, lemon caper chicken, asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes.With each bite we both found a new tier of euphoria caused by the fantastic flavors and tantalizing notes each item provided. 9/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I held an event at Stoney Point Grill this past weekend and it was amazing from start to finish. The manager Bre was so helpful from the very beginning. She gave me all the information I needed while planning the event and answered any and all questions that I had. It was super easy to get everything planned.
On the day of the event, David and Andrea were phenomenal with taking care of me and my guests. Everyone received their drinks in a timely manner and they ensured the food stayed replenished. I did not have to ask for anything extra, they were on their A game from start to finish.
The space was a great size for my event and the food was great. My guests truly enjoyed their time and I recommend anyone to dine here and allow Stoney Point Grill to host them.

The food is not the best.
The service when you order a drink from your slot machine is awful! You may or may not get the drink. ♀️ If you get the drink you will most definitely be waiting close to an hour for it.
The atmosphere/vibe is always nice amd they have great entertainment on the weekends!

The server was very busy but nice each time she was able to check on us. The chili nachos had no chili but the server brought some in a separate bowl but it was half hot and half cool. Our coffee that we ordered when we first sat down, was brought to the table half way through the meal, but again the server was busy so we didnt want to bother her. Food was a 3- it was ok but the atmosphere was a 5 and service was 4. Not bad overall.
