The evening started with our Hostess, Betsey, greeting us and seating us. She was so welcoming and spoke to us several times as she made her way around with water, referring to us by name. Our server was Gloria. She was Johnny on the spot! Friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. I noted Matthew who was busy the entire time, taking plates and trays away, fixing tables when customers left. The food was amazing, from the very first bite to the very last. Gloria wrapped up our desserts and gave us flatware to use when we ate our desserts in our room at Tara later on. Everything was great.

Absolute perfection! Servers are friendly and accommodating. We dined here twice while staying at Tara and both meals were exceptional! Our steaks were tender, juicy and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was romantic and casual. Honestly, one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had!

This had to have been the worst dining experience ever. The venue was truly lovely – the service, however, was terrible. After waiting close to 20 minutes to be acknowledged and seated, we sat at our table nearly 20 minutes before our server arrived. When she did, it was straight to the entree order (no drinks/appetizers were offered). We had to ask for both. The appetizers took forever to come – the same with our meal. The server seemed to disappear for 20-30 minutes between each course. Meanwhile, as we patiently waited, the table beside us was less than entertaining. They were loud, obnoxious, and completely drunk – and disruptive to every other dining guests in the small room we were in. Sadly, they kept being served their martinis which only elevated the level of disruption. One of their drunken guests wondered off (assumingly looking for the bathroom)and was ‘lost’ in the kitchen where our friend found her and helped her back to her table.
My meal was okay (salmon) but my husband’s arrived completely cold. We were there for 3 hours and that is without having dessert – we actually ran out of time. I do not know what is going on with this place, but what an embarrassment for the owners. We will never return. For the price, there are many better options in the region for a unique and elegant dining experience. I really hate writing such a negative review on a local place, but people, do not waste your money or time on Stonewall’s Tavern.

We went there last year for my birthday and it was absolutely awful. They didn’t have many items on the menu. The waitress was very nice but complained that she didn’t have help and that they were out of so many items. I complained to the manager the next day and he didn’t do anything. Very poor business !!! I would not recommend and would never go back there.

We had an amazing meal tonight at Stonewall’s Tavern. As usual our food was spectacular and the service and atmosphere was welcoming and inviting. Highly recommend the food and service and absolutely wonderful staff.

We had a wonderful time celebrating our Anniversary at Stonewall’s. The lobster tail was fabulous and their bread pudding is terrific. The staff is excellent! They are very sweet and attentive even though they have a staff shortage.

Authentic setting. Unique upscale, restaurant, located on the lower level of the Tara Hotel. Dark, low beam ceiling about 6ft high. Saw some people not duck low enough and they hit their head on the beams, lights and the sprinkler head. My sister got lightly bumped in the head by a server’s tray.
No harm done but to give you an idea of how low ceiling is. The servers maneuver around very well over all and they do tell you to watch your head. Our server was very good, informative and polite. The ribs entree was very tender and tasty! Loved how they brought out the toppings tray for the baked potatoes, that was wonderful. The homemade beef vegetable soup was a nice blend of vegetables and the fresh baked breads were delicious.
An overall delightful dining experience. $$$$

I very, very rarely give five star reviews. This place is great. These people know how to give you an experience that is old fashioned and awesome. You feel like royalty when you are here. The food is excellent. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is great. It is very clean. This place is so good that I saw no one using their phone. There was no one wearing a t shirt, which was nice.

Always a phenomenal meals at the stonewall tavern! Betsy is the best, Chef Chris and Dakota did an excellent job. Highly recommend getting dinner here! Shrimp cocktail and crab cakes are delicious appetizers. Any of the dinner options are great. Love the soldiers dream, ribs, pricey chicken, scallops. Can’t go wrong here!
