Finished with crème brûlée and chocolate mousse, and both desserts were spot-on. You can tell they’re paying attention to quality across the menu, not just the steaks.
Great addition to Marble Falls. We’ll definitely be back.
We had a reservation for Valentines Day and the menu was a set menu.
Everything we had was delicious and cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend to anyone to check this restaurant out- have a few cocktails, an appetizer, some steak and definitely save some room for dessert!
They’ve certainly done what they can to make the casual day time restaurant an upscale night time dining venue. The staff are amazing and friendly. Our waiter who proudly shared said he was the chefs dad, highly recommended we try a specialty cocktail. My husband had his traditional Grey Goose martini and I tried the Bluebonnet Beret. My drink was wonderful. Delicious.
We ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna appetizer and the Strawberry Goat Cheese salad to share. These were very good. Everything was fresh and well seasoned. Great flavors.
For our main course we both ordered the 16oz Ribeye with a side of Sautéed Mushrooms and Almondin Asparagus to share. I ordered my steak medium with just a little pink and a side of horseradish sauce. My husband ordered his medium rare with the blue cheese sauce. We ordered our main course at the same time we ordered the salad and appetizer. Our main course took so long to come out, we were discussing leaving. 50 minutes after the salad. Our orders were switched which I discovered after dipping my steak in blue cheese. Both steaks were cooked just under medium, which was fine for me but not for my husband who eats his medium rare. The steaks were served on small plates making it impossible to put our side dishes on our plates. We both ate our sides out of the dish they were served in.
For dessert I had the Creme Brulee and my husband the Chocolate Mousse. The dessert was wonderful.
Our bill before tip was $254. We were prepared to pay more and we’d looked at the menu so we were aware of the pricing. The thing is though, the steaks were good, but not $65 an a la carte steak good. The portions of the sides were very underwhelming. While we enjoyed the flavors of the food, we were left feeling that the prices just weren’t justified. We’ll go back to try the salmon, chicken or porkchops as those seem to be more realistically priced.
The restaurant is suffering a bit of an identity crisis right now and it shows in their customers. While most people were dressed for an upscale dinner at a nice restarant, there were many dressed for the daytime restaurant that’s also operating there… fishing shirts, shorts, tshirts. If I’m paying for a $250 meal I’m wanting true upscale dining.
My friend and I stopped in after a long day of clearing fence lines – we were so delighted to see Stone’s was open until 10pm – and even more delighted after seeing the menu!
Stone, the owner, has a passion for great food and it shows from what comes from his kitchen. I look forward to coming back and trying EVERYTHING on the menu!
Highlights: Gluten free restaurant, everything made in house, Lions Mane Steak as an option for a vegetarian entree, great music playing. This is NOT your typical Marble Falls restaurant experience. Show this up-and-comer some love and treat yourself to a great dinner out.
The sirloins and they were cooked PERFECTLY and the mashed potatoes were INSANE. Like, genuinely some of the best I’ve ever had.
The drinks were also amazing. So well made and fun, not an afterthought at all. On top of that, Stone (the owner) is awesome and clearly cares about both the food and the people coming in. You can feel that personal touch throughout the place.
We’ll definitely be back. If you’re in Marble Falls, this spot is a must.
The service is excellent—friendly, attentive, and professional—and the atmosphere fits perfectly with the Hill Country charm. An added bonus: everything on the menu is gluten free, making it a fantastic choice for anyone with food sensitivities or dietary restrictions.
Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Stone’s Steakhouse is a must-try. Highly recommended!
While the ambiance is still coming together, the food and friendly service more than make up for it. We’d definitely stop by again next time we’re in town. It’s always nice to see a new local place doing things right!
