The Reuben I had here was TOP NOTCH, and I’m a Reuben enjoyer for sure. The guy at the counter I would describe as quirky, but helpful and kind. I WILL ADVISE that just as the negative reviews of this place suggest, it probs not the place to go for speed. For us it was great, we were taking the weekend in slow motion on purpose, and it felt like it fit in with the environment. The food/drinks served were delicious.

What a great find. Just visiting the area. Wish there was a location by me. Great service. Good food. Nice latte. Cool building. Perfect Avocado toast.

We had a wonderful breakfast in this quaint, cozy cafe. It has plenty of seating and an outdoor patio, with rustic touches and stone walls. The service was immaculate, and very accommodating to our requests. The food was reminiscent of a home cooked meal but brightened with a chefs touch. We met the chef briefly, he was so kind to my son and I. Definitely going to go back!

Overall, a pretty good experience.
First of all, my cinnamon latte had such a delicious thick layer of foam on top, and the taste was incredible. It also looked yummy in the cup they served it in!! The aesthetics were appreciated.
The food was great- no complaints there. I ordered the eggs benedict, and having a gluten allergy, was delighted to see there was a subsitute for thick tomato slices. How unique.
The only criticism I have is the wait time. The waitress ringing us out gave us a courtesy of saying there would be a 25 minute wait for our food, which is fine- my sister (who I came with) and I actually had to sit down to discuss some things which was going to take time.
Truthfully, it took over an hour before our food came out to us. My sister informed me that she stopped in about a week or two ago with her boyfriend, and it was the same experience. So, if you’re thinking of stopping in to grab food, calling ahead to place an order will probably be your best bet to ensure you can depend on the timing of when it comes out.

Such a nice historic building for a cafe! The space is beautiful, rustic and cozy. We hade spiced chais that were incredible while waiting for our burgers…they were delicious as well. Service is friendly although a bit slow when we were there…likely because they were busy, which is always a good indicator of a good establishment. I suggest the bacon blue Burger and of course the spiced chai.

Update: Since I first posted a review, Stonehouse has become my favorite place to eat. Both the food and the service are always 10/10, and I have yet to be disappointed with anything I’ve ordered. They have the most savory dishes I’ve eaten in the 2 1/2 years that I’ve lived in Lancaster. While the Nathan’s Chicken Sandwich is my go-to, you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!
I loved the cozy atmosphere of Stonehouse Cafe! I stopped by for lunch, and ordered a burger with a side of chips. Everything tasted fantastic, and my burger was cooked to perfection! I only wished that there was an option to have a side of fries, but the chips sufficed. I will definitely have to come again, and next time I’ll have to try one of their drinks! I’ll also add that the service was among some of the best experiences I’ve had. Everyone was super friendly, helpful, and cheerful, which only added to the great atmosphere! I’ll need to bring friends sometime, so they too can enjoy this great cafe

Cozy cafe with friendly staff and delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere. I came here for dinner on a Wednesday evening around 5:30 and was very impressed. You order at the register and can choose where to sit. I ordered the tomato bisque and tuna salad and my friend ordered the Reuben. The service was very friendly and the food was fresh and timely. There are tables throughout that would be perfect for a laptop or work items if necessary. The decor appeared thoughtfully selected and there were sweet goodies for purchase as well. I hope you stop in for breakfast and coffee soon!

The rustic building blends seamlessly with the modern amenities, creating a homestead feel! The food is meticulously created by head chef Dug, who obviously loves his job and pours perfection on every plate. The staff sets the perfect example of cheerful helping and respectful service. Highly recommended not very busy for a Saturday morning.

Great experience, loved the environment, service, food and coffee! Coffee has very rich and authentic flavor, no weird aftertastes or anything. Food is exceptional. Both food and coffee came out extremely hot, so be careful not to burn your tastebuds
