We loved StoneAge Korean BBQ! The food and service was excellent, pre warning though the portions per meat are actually pretty big. We made the mistake of asking for two of things because there were two of us, but it is best to share! The sushi and side bar was also very good! We can’t wait to come back for more.

I love stone age! Been coming here since they opened and were only doing kbbq, but their expansive menu is so so good. I love their hot pot, it’s one of my favorites and the options are so yummy :)! I also really love their korean spicy radishes, I realized they have them available on their cold bar now and I couldn’t have been happier. All in all, a great place to have lunch!

An exceptionally clean restaurant. On the night I went it was a packed house. The staff were very courteous and we never wanted for anything at any time. They are fast and precise everytime. The food was amazing and served fresh to the table. An adventurous environment for the whole family to enjoy. The dinnner was priced remarkably well. A gem in Madison that deserves your attention. Would recommend to anyone looking for a time to enjoy a meal.

It was an excellent place for anyone who has an open mind to proteins and side dishes. They had a huge selection and a lot to choose from. The biggest downsides is bringing along kids. The young kids who only ate the fries were charged like they ate the meats ($16.99 ea.) which made our meal go from $65 to over $100. This was a bit of a surprise for us as first time customers so I wanted to mention it to anyone else who may try it out. Overall everything was exceptionally clean – even for someone with a shellfish allergy – and you get to cook it how you like. Most of the meats do not have any seasoning or marinade and you have to rely on the sauces that are available to add any flavor. The short ribs were fantastic. We will definitely be back for a date night, but maybe not with the kids.

I used to love this restaurant and went there about once a month, but I hadn’t been in a few months, so I decided to visit again last weekend. We went there to celebrate a birthday. The waitress was someone who had worked there before, and most of the other staff were also familiar faces from previous visits.
The first thing that surprised us was that there was only one other table besides us when we arrived. That party was already paying and left shortly after. We wanted to place an additional order during our meal, but we couldn’t find our waitress and had to wait several times.
Then, the staff started eating at the table right next to us. Our waitress was eating with them, and she was also on her phone while having her meal. We assumed she was on her break after seeing this, so we asked another male staff member who wasn’t eating for a drink refill. He then asked us which waitress was assigned to our table.
We pointed to our assigned waitress and explained that she appeared to be eating, which is why we were asking him instead. He then went out of his way to walk over to her while she was eating and pass along the message.
After that, we had to place additional food and drink orders several times, but whenever we needed assistance, no one came to our table. We ended up having to stand up and walk around to find someone we could speak to.
She told us she would replace our dirty grill, and we waited, but she never came back. When we looked over to see what was going on, she was chatting and laughing with her coworkers and seemed to have completely forgotten about our grill. When we made eye contact and reminded her about it, she looked surprised.
After that, every time we wanted to order anything, we had to look around the restaurant to see where she was and check who was available, just to find someone to help us. By that point, we were the only customers in the restaurant. Another party came in later, but until then, it was just us.
This had never happened on our previous visits. In the past, we were always satisfied with both the food and the service. Even when the restaurant was busy and one waitress was handling multiple tables, the service was still attentive and satisfying. Compared to that, this time we were the only party in the restaurant, yet the level of service was disappointing.
The food was still delicious, as always, and I really like it. However, seeing this kind of service makes me not want to return. Knowing that our meal would essentially contribute to paying staff who provide such service makes me even less inclined to visit again.

I’m from Tampa and was in town to visit family and we decided to come here for delicious food and a fun cooking experience. It was a great time and all the wide variety of food was fantastic. Lots of choices of beef, chicken, pork and seafood.
All the veggies were delicious and flavorful. When I’m in town again I will definitely be back.
It was a great time. The staff was very friendly and prompt to take care of us. A great restaurant and worth the price and experience.

We had a party of 18 and the servers handled it as a team and did a great job of making sure we were taken care of. The ingredients were quality and the list plentiful. The prepared food was good as well (meaning the sushi and side dishes) dumplings, fried rice, soup etc… It’s contemporary style with the grills in the table lend a family atmosphere to dining experience where everyone shares. The quantity of food the provide is large also. We had a great time.

It’s definitely an amazing experience if you got a big appetite and open to the idea of trying different types of meat! I had to take my group of friends to try Korean BBQ for the first time and they had a blast! We managed to go through 3 full courses doing dinner. Our favorites were definitely the Stone Age Steak and the Lemon chicken!! (Some of the items on the menu aren’t avaliable because lunch doesn’t offer everything at the cost of half the price but dinner does offer everything but at full price) It is an absolute must try, cannot go wrong with them!! The sides were very tasty too, dumplings , fried rice and vegetables were a hit!! I had to also decided to try Sake for the first time, and even though it was a bit on the pricier side, it did not disappoint!! I will say that the price is on the higher end but if you don’t mind that and are just open to eating as much as you possibly can I recommend at least a group of 5 friends , once you have a 6th you do have that gratitudity fee of 20% so it adds even more to the bill. Regardless, everyone had a great time and that’s all that mattered!!

I absolutely LOVE this place! The food is amazing and the meats are very delicious. My personal favorite side is the dumplings! The soy sauce is to DIE for. So many flavors and they capture them very well. The service is very respectful. They make sure to check on you as much as often for refills and to order more food! The price range is perfect for the great steak that they have and it’s all you can eat. How much better could it get! Only reason why I didn’t give it a five star is because it’s sometimes chilly due to the air vents always running for precautions, but other than that this place is TOP NOTCH!

Went here for lunch with my son and arrived shortly after they opened. For my gluten sensitive people, 90% of the menu is not gluten free. There are a few options available if you ask and our server was quite helpful with pointing out the ones he knew about. However, when he went back to ask the manager about a particular dish he was unfamiliar with the response was “what’s gluten!” So do with that info what you may.
My son wanted to rank the meats he tried from his perspective. First up is the bulgogi which ranked as delicious! Second ranked was the spicy pork belly. Third place was the brisket which we were told was gluten safe. (It came out almost frozen). Fourth was the pepper chicken which was bland without the salt and oil blend.
Overall the lunch servings were a good value for the money if you’re not gluten sensitive. We got there early so the atmosphere was laid back allowing for good conversation and an enjoyable experience. Our server was attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu offerings. Management has got to do better with their gluten knowledge. Otherwise …
