I visited here in April 2025 and although I can’t recall her name, I still remember our server who was born and raised in Monterey. I could truly feel her genuine passion for this restaurant. I went with her recommendations and everything was overall very satisfying.
The crispy potatoes were a standout and ordered them again The steak was also excellent and cooked to perfection. But I found the cocktails to be a bit too weak for my taste, so I switched to beer for the rest of the meal.
The restaurant was nearly packed by the time we left even on a weekday afternoon. I highly recommend making a reservation if you plan to visit.

Dinner at Stokes Adobe was such a treat. The space is beautiful and genuinely feels like you’re dining in a thoughtfully designed private home, cozy and special without being stuffy. We started with the sourdough and butter, simple but absolutely delicious, and the perfect beginning.
I enjoyed a lovely Grenache blend with my meal, and the chicken Milanese was outstanding: crisp, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Service was welcoming and the overall experience felt relaxed and elevated at the same time.
If the weather had been just a touch warmer, the patio would have been an incredible spot to linger with a glass of wine. I’ll absolutely be back.

Solid place to go with a big group – apparently it’s haunted!
Good:
– The tagliatelle bolognese was really good and good portion sizes too!
– The ambiance is really nice and quiet for a deep catchup with friends
– The staff are really nice
– The ice cream with coconut milk here was so good! I just had a few
Bad:
The food and service took forever – we had to wait over 30 min to get the check
– Relatively expensive compared to other places in the area
Overall this was good for a longer leisurely dinner if you aren’t in a rush! We escaped traffic back to SF afterwards.

Second time around, I think everything was still at the same level as first. Food was good, but not great. The pork chop covered with sesame was too much fat and funny texture, octopus was not good 🙁 Drinks were average. Our server wasn’t in the mood to work that day. Atmosphere was good outside by the fire

It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed a steak that much. I got the wagyu strip… so delicious. Had to get that out of the way first. Highly recommend for a low key but upscale feeling dinner. The food was so good. Although the portion sizes kind of sucked in my opinion. Ha. I wish there was more. The outside area has a fun patio with heaters. The staff and servers were nice and the service was quick. I will definitely be back here. Didn’t get any drinks but they looked good too.

Cara Kinsey took care of my company dinner we had there recently. She was absolutely wonderful to work with. This dinner was for my executive team + their clients. I was not in attendance so of course I was anxious about the event. Cara was extremely prompt with any questions I had and made me feel confident in choosing this location. Our experience here was delightful. The only complaint is we asked for medium on our steak and it was very well done. I was hungry so I still ate. Same thing happened to my sister. Our third friend ordered well done and hers was medium rare. Other than that they were very accommodating to some requests. Our waitress was the best! The ambiance was wonderful. I loved my cocktails. We would love to go here again. 🙂

Made dinner reservations for three to celebrate our granddaughters birthday. Such a welcoming atmosphere. Great drinks and service. Conner took good care of us upstairs. I enjoyed the Shaved Broccoli Salad and my husband ate every last bite of his pork chop. Our granddaughter ordered the Tagliatelle Bolognese and said it was as good as it was filling! I highly recommend this spot. And don’t go without ordering the bread service!!!! Yummmmm

Duck liver mousse toast, pizzas and pastas were so good! I think I loved the pastas the most! Great cocktails also!
For some reason this “American wagyu” dish was so bad! It was so dry and chewy. For $50+, I wish we sent it back. Hard to believe it was American Wagyu.
Overall, I love this place. I’ve been here about 4-5 times and love the ambience. I hope they take that “American Wagyu” dish off the menu though or get a new steak source.

Loved everything about this gem. The Wagyu new york strip was flavorful, Gelato was out of this world delicious. We will definitely be returning soon!
