The dining area, true to the name, is in what was the family room of a family home. Not too busy, but with steady patronage while we were there. Really great breakfast food. I’d be absolutely interested in trying lunch / dinner based on this experience.
The granola French toast is incredible. My wife’s biscuit bowl was hearty and delicious.

This place is the cutest! It has so much potential! The portions were very small for the price. Their cornbeef hash was clearly from the store in a can, the same brand we use because it tastes the same and looks the same. Didnt match the description of homemade hash. The eggs were good. The meat was good as well. But the corn beef hash and “no butter” was really disappointing. Especially when the hash was 5 dollars for a very small portion. But the waitress was nice and we appreciated her effort to make it a good experience.

Took a side quest with my bestie to Coldwater Michigan where we discovered this little hidden gem. Stories Family Room Cafe. Set in a scenic little town, this beautiful older large scale vintage home has transformed into a large scale Family room into a Cafe. Classic old style wooden floors and a gorgeous fireplace with rustic old shelving cabinets at either side. I felt like I had time traved into grandma’s house in the late 60’s. Service was great. Food was good. Atmosphere was very nice! If you’re ever in Coldwater, Google Stoagies Family Room Cafe. A delight for all your senses. Highly recommend!

Breakfast was okay. Coffee needed more body. Server was nice but alone and busy. Tomato juice was room temp. The place is beautiful inside. Atmosphere made up for food quality. Went on a Sunday, might be best during the week.

Excellent food and great service. Waitress was very polite. Overall great experience and highly recommend trying this place out. They even have a local squirrel named pumpkin who will stop in and ask you for a kickdown. The inside of the restaurant is decorated very warm and inviting. Great atmosphere.

Very friendly service and excellent food. I normally get breakfast when I go there. Never have tried the lunch, but the omelettes are very good and the coffee is better than most places.

Amazing! Love the atmosphere, cool, beautiful, old eclectic house setting. Great made from scratch food (Try the homemade sausage patties), and super friendly service. And it’s locally owned!
