Stoa is where Marina’s community comes together – a relaxed gathering spot to unwind with friends and enjoy the coastal breeze over a thoughtfully selected bottle of wine, cocktails, antipasti, charcuterie boards, and pizza. Whether you’re grabbing an artisanal sandwich from our deli for lunch or creating memories over a shared charcuterie board at dinner, every visit is about enhancing your appreciation for the simple, meaningful pleasures in life.

The perfect spot for good food and wine with friends or even solo. The bar is fun and really nice. Johan is the best bartender around.
The short rib is one of the best I’ve had and it comes with sides like mashed potatoes. On the weekends they serve sandwiches during the day – chicken Caesar sandwich is out of this world. Fire pizza too!
On a nice day you can sit outside and it’s peaceful with views of the harbor and boats. The inside is beautiful and there’s a few different areas to sit depending on the vibe you want.
Get the chilled red wine and some cocktails. Meet the friendly staff including Sasha who’s the best!

Relatively new spot in MDR. Both indoor and outdoor seating. However, indoor is very loud when busy. But most LA restaurants seem to be loud inside, maybe it is just me. We had a pizza and salad. But we had excellent help from the sommelier. I forgot his name but he knew the wines very well, made some suggestions based on what we wanted and offered us tastes too. We ended up with a wonderful bottle for our table. The menu is somewhat limited but this is called a wine bar and market, so the selections were fine. We got the olives for a starter. Nice selection in oil with rosemary and thyme. The Tomato Goddess salad is interesting. Tomatoes and fruit surrounded by avocado and green goddess dressing whipped into a ‘dip’. (We used the dip with our bones from the pizza). The pizzas here are red or white. We had a marinara and a summer squash. They serve the very thin crust here. Both were flavorful, but we felt they could have had a little more spice or punch to them. The white pizza with summer squash had an interesting texture and taste. This looks like it will be a neighborhood bar as parking here is very tight, only 4 spots. The County parking lot ($6) is the closest to the building. Overall, it was a nice experience and we would try it again bit choose an outdoor table. I would suggest making a reservation. Worth going back to try their other selections of pizza.

We moved into the neighborhood recently and this was one of the first restaurants we tried! They are very new to Marina Del Rey as well. Overall, we had a really positive experience. One thing they are still ironing out is coursing out food properly. Our food nearly came out all at once which was certainly not preferred. However, all of the food we had was yummy and our waitress was friendly. The vibes and ambience are also excellent! We definitely plan on coming back.

Stoa is the most AMAZING addition to the Marina!!! They have the most delicious food, drinks, ambiance, and staff. The pizza is exceptional- especially their gluten-free- which is hard to perfect but they did it! We love the beautiful outdoor area which is dog-friendly- an extra bonus

on the surface, Stoa is (at the very least) another great neighborhood wine bar in Los Angeles. but look a little bit deeper and you’ll find something more interesting going on here. this is a place that prides itself not only on great food and drinks, but on facilitating thoughtful conversation and bringing strangers together in parallel. it is a place built on community, idea sharing, and mindfulness through and through (look no further than Stoa’s “in-house” Friday philosopher as an example). through this lens, Stoa has created a true third space – a universal sense of belonging where all members of the community (and beyond) can come together over some great wine + food.
also worth mentioning: the wine selection (both BTG/BTB and retail) is next-level. one of the best curated wine lists i’ve seen in LA with a wine team that’ll always help guide you in the right direction. 10/10.

Food and drinks were amazing! The meatballs appetizer was unreal. I definitely recommend getting the spicy vodka pizza. The staff are super friendly as well and will go above and beyond for you. You will see me here time and time again.

Just went to this spot here and I loved it. The vibe is amazing and reminds me of Europe so much. We shared some meatballs, the tomato salad (with the goddess dressing which is to die for), the beets, and vodka pizza and had some great wine. Definitely coming back!

I ordered their Epicurean sandwich and it makes me wonder if anyone there has ever actually eaten one. The sum of the parts made a pretty bland tasteless sandwich. Maybe that’s the way it’s supposed to be and others like it that way but it was not for me and I discarded the 2nd half. Maybe I’ll try a different sandwich sometime as they are close by.
They could probably also improve by adding some shades on the upper windows and a few more umbrellas for outdoors. At least at noon there were few tables not in direct sunlight, even indoors. I’m guessing they aren’t targeting the lunch crowd but the two other restaurants near by are packed at lunch

This is the kind of spot we needed in the marina! Great wine selection + full bar with cocktail menu.
Food was amazing. We built our own board and the portions were huge – sometimes with cheese and charcuterie you pay so much for so little – not the case here!
Meatballs were also full of flavor and a good sized portion. The hamachi crudo was nice, but felt heavy for crudo with all of the sauce. Although the sauce was good because I wanted more bread for it!
We got there right at 5:00, and there was a line waiting to be sat, by 6:00 the place was full. I think reservations right now are just call-in, but they said they’ll be on Resy next week so be sure to make a reservation!
Atmosphere wise: nice patio in the sunshine. Inside there is bar seating, a little library-esq couch book and regular tables. Inside also has a market where you can purchase cheese and wine. So cute.
Service was a little slow – at no fault of the servers/bartenderss though. They were completely slammed right at 5 and maybe could have used a few extra people working.

SO delicious. The beets with ricotta and the tomato melon appetizers were incredible, as was the pappardelle! Can’t wait to come back
