Favorite bakery and coffee shop when we visit Boone. Their sourdough is AMAZING… so fresh, as are all their bakes goods. Coffee is wonderful. It is a grab and go shop, but so worth the stop. Highly recommended.

The interior of the place was nice. Several different things to buy that are not pastry related. I bought a cream cheese cinnamon roll, a chocolate chip cookie, a croissant, and a banana bread. Being completely honest, I came with higher expectations. I have heard around that this bakery had the best cinnamon rolls in town. It was disappointing to find out that this was all a lie, unless in my opinion. It was completely dry inside, as well as the croissant and banana bread too. I had a strange encounter with one of the workers standing behind the display. I walked towards the display to show that I am ready to order and the worker does nothing but stare at me, not even a smile. It is almost as if we were in a staring contest maintaining eye contact for about 10 seconds. They said nothing to me, just all eyes . It was not until another worker came and broke the awkward moment by asking if I was ready to order. He was nice but the pastries not so much.

This is the most authentic and yummy bakery I’ve seen in the state! They have fresh baked goods all day. I went in the morning and evening to take back a few dozen mixed cookies and pastries to the local Fire Department. We plan to stop one more time on the way out of town to take some home for friends and family. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly while I glared and stared at the case while making choices.
The also had cute local made gifts and a great coffee selection.
The decor was so cute and perfect looking bread. We didn’t buy bread…. Yet!
This will be added to a MUST stop every trip to the Boone/Blowing Rock area!

Today we tried 4 types of cake and 4 types of icing for my friends wedding in July. We loved the lemon cake the best with the raspberry butter cream icing.
What a great way to test/try each cake with each icing! Highly recommended ⭐️
I also got an oatmeal cookie that was da bomb! Best oatmeal cookie ever ( and I thought mine were fabulous) nope! Stick boy made these cookies light as lace. Best texture and perfect sweetness ❣️ the lemon tart – amazing too.
Basically you can’t go wrong with any choice here folks

We first had Stick Boy baked goods while staying at the Horton Hotel in Boone. I quickly fell in love!
I promised myself that I would find the actual location & visit- I did so this morning. This place is a dream for bread & baked goods lovers. Oh my goodness…..these sweet treats.
Becca helped me, and she is the sweetest! She picked out my Old World Sour Dough.
The next time we are in Boone, we’ll return to try more items.

You must stop in if you’re driving thru Boone! From coffee to fresh breads, pastries, cinnamon rolls, cakes, cookies, & cheese cakes. We got a sticky bun & asked if they could add their cream cheese frosting. They said absolutely & it was absolutely amazing!!! Great friendly staff, too!

Young uns effortlessly manage the retail flow consisting of a huge shelf of bread varieties baked daily, a central pastry and cookie case featuring whole cakes and a coffee bar.
There’s no seating inside; be prepared to take your order on the road.
I prefer bakery standards like crusty baguettes, sourdough and challah breads, but the sweets and pastries here are truly worth the splurge. Stick Boy is one of those places where you can easily freeze up, change your mind, and regret not buying more.
Everything coming out of the coffee bar side of the shop looks amazing (matcha lemonade with fresh strawberries!?!) but I’m a strictly drip coffee bae…
And theirs is some of the best I’ve ever gulped.
