Very cool place! They’ve been around since 1934. Car hop service was great, and my waitress was a doll. Chili Dogs were fantastic. Fries and milkshake were great too. I’ll definitely be going back. I’d like to try more of their menu. I got a kick out of the signs on the restrooms (See my photos).

It doesn’t matter what kind of a day at the railroad I’ve had I can pull in to Stewart’s original hot dogs and all the stress of the day seems to go away…. It doesn’t matter if they’ve known you for 5 seconds or 5 years you always get that same wonderful smile from Connie… you always get that courteous service… this is what makes a customer come back.. not only the atmosphere set by the upper management.. not only the good food from their kitchen ..but it goes all the way down to the fine people that serve the food and whenever you’re done you get that glorious smile and perfect eye contact every time from Connie and the rest of the fine staff only at Stewart’s hot dogs

We are from OOT and asked to have the sauce on the side. It was a hard no. Only taking the hotdogs for a family member. Can’t imagine it wil be good the next day. One staff member no explanation why only shook her head. Stewart’s need to do better. Kenova location. Weird though I thought you could order the sauce online ♀️

92 years, this great hot dog and root beer place has been here!! I can now say they have the best hot dogs in the area after coming here a few times. And, of course, Stewart’s root beer is my personal favorite. It’s not too creamy and has just the right amount of root beer flavor. It’s not “biting” like some root beers. Sooooo good!!!
This is a great little hot dog and root beer place with car hop service. Friendly car hops and quick service on all sorts of chili with slaw dogs, hamburgers, chicken, fries, etc. Good prices, too. I tried the doggage with their chili/onion sauce. The three-pack was very good! Came with a good bunch of fries.
You know, it was kinda like going back in time to when I was a kid. I loved Stewart’s root beer then, and I still love it now, decades later. Come and try this wonderful food and soda restaurant. You’ll be glad you did. I’ll be stopping here whenever I drive a rideshare into the area. I love it!
8/9/24: Stopped again for lunch and had three Sauce ‘n Slaw dogs, and of course a diet root beer. Gosh, they are soooo good!! As before, the service was friendly and fast by Silas. He’s a blast, and I got a kick out of him needling his coworkers in a real funny way. It was like a little comedy show during lunch! Keep up the great work, Silas.
Prices are still good. Folks, as far as tasty doggage goes….these hot dogs are delicious, and they’re Charlie, the cat approved.
