We had a reservation and were seated right away. Our server, Lisa, was polite and professional. She was very informative and made great recommendations. The sushi was amazing. The ingredients were chosen wisely to highlight the fish. There was very little use of heavy sauces and unnecessary garnishes (which can sometimes overpower the sushi). They were extremely conscientious regarding a food allergy and made sure to put us at ease by explaining their process of preparing the meal in a way that would minimize allergen exposure. The waitstaff worked together seamlessly. Our water glasses were topped off often and they cleared dirty dishes from the table so promptly. We were very pleased with the whole experience and would absolutely go here again the next time we make it to Kauai.

Not too many reviews on google so we were not too sure whether we should go or not. The sushi was so nice, it felt fresh and healthy. The style and vibe was great too. Your water is filled up and the waitress was attentive. It’s a treat to go here but worth it. Plus the cocktails were pretty high end.

This is a must if you’re on Kauai! Amazing sushi and Japanese food and beautiful setting. Everything I’ve had here is delicious! My favorites are the sushi pizza (I know, it sounds weird), the lobster dynamite (try it with a bowl of sushi rice), and the black rock roll. The past couple times I’ve gone my server has been Johnny. He’s AWESOME! Super friendly and helpful, so if you’re able to request him, I’d definitely do that. We are so glad Stevenson’s has reopened! Make sure to make a reservation and treat yourself!

Lisa our server was outstanding. She was incredibly accommodating working with the kitchen to ensure our food was gluten and shellfish free. The food was so delicious and I look forward to returning again.

We ordered the Sashimi Moriawase (15 pieces of sashimi), miso black cod, volcano roll (modified gluten free), and matcha cheese cake. All items were super tasty and would highly recommend ordering them.

Its a beautiful sushi restaurant, pretty expensive, the kitchen closes at 9:30 so make sure you go earlier, the server wasn’t really helpful explaining the menu ,but overall the food was delicious.

The sushi was great, they use real crab meat in their rolls. The drinks were great, and so was the dessert!

The food, atmosphere and service were all fantastic. Top-tier sushi and so far the only time I’ve enjoyed uni. But somebody behind the bar needs more practice shaking drinks because we had multiple watery cocktails with ice floating at the top. Fortunately they have a nice selection of sakes, whiskeys and shochu so I recommend picking some of those instead.

Wonderful sushi, delectable dessert, and tasty cocktails. What put our visit over the top was how friendly the sushi chefs were. My son was interested in seeing how they prepped it all and all the guys were so accommodating and friendly. Chef Jim, Larry, Jahdan, Riordan, and David all prepared delicious food but also are just wonderfully kind people.

We are staying at the resort and made our reservation about 12 days in advance of our stay. Based on reviews, we were really looking forward to Stevenson’s sushi. Unfortunately, the strong, fishy smell outside & inside the restaurant put us off of, but we didn’t let it deter us. We had lobster dynamite, ahi, stevenson roll, and a couple other rolls. We requested all on soy paper but received them all with seaweed. Not a huge issue but not how we ordered them. The sushi was not great…fine, but not great unfortunately. Ambiance & bar itself are cool, but we wouldn’t return. Dinner was costly, and not even close to being great sushi. Sad.

Location, interior, food service and staff – everything is perfect. Beautiful view to the ocean, life music, excellent cocktails, the atmosphere was awesome. A few words about food, unfortunately it does not reach the level of the restaurant, I understand that salmon is most likely transported from the mainland, but tuna should be as fresh and tasty as it possible. I ordered O-toro and Chu-toro, the most tender parts of the tuna, but they weren’t as tender as should be. I expected that tuna in this level of Hawaiian restaurant is much higher quality than on the mainland, but this is not so.
