New information – I just learned that the ice machine is cleaned quite regularly here and I’ll tell you folks, this is a clean establishment. Most bars and restaurants don’t attend to their ice machines regularly and this is a big deal. Mold grows on unclear surfaces, even in the icy cold! Trust this place with your drink because you won’t be disappointed.
Please disregard the negative reviews of The Steilacoom Taproom because I can promise you, after reading them, they are wrong!

My first time visiting the Taproom, I felt welcomed upon entering. They have a good selection of drinks from some from the local area. I ended up getting cider in a growler to go. I also met the owner, a cute little dog who’s also on the label of the growler.
I highly recommend this place!

Small local bar with SO MUCH LOVE ❤️ the local bartender was telling my husband and I how the locals all pitched in to cover the owner’s absence while she heals from a broken ankle. Then he paid for a couple of our drinks and offered us some of his wife’s homemade cookies! this place made me wish So badly I was a local ❤️

Very helpful staff, friendly. I came in originally because I underestimated how much ice I would needed and they were able to help me out. While I did not buy a drink myself, my mother did and let me try it, it was fantastic. I did want to point out just how clean the bar was, a beautiful varnished wooden bar with lots of character, and impeccably clean. The ice we received was crystal clear and very clean as well. I’ll probably come back anytime I’m in the area with a few free minutes.

Nona is amazing and so is the service. We found this gem a couple days ago and just had to come back for the 4th of July celebrations. What a beautiful town! Just beer, wine and wine slushees (AMAZING!!) She does have snacks for purchase and let’s people bring their own food. So happy we found her and her Biergarten! And be sure to say hello to Charlotte, her beloved pooch

The taproom is a must-visit in Steilacoom! My now husband and I hosted welcome drinks the day before our wedding here. It was so easy to coordinate and all our guests loved it! The beers are great and the atmosphere is very inviting. Nona, the owner, is so kind and welcoming. She even remembered us when we returned a few months later! We will definitely keep coming back!
