Lovely little bakery! The staff is always so friendly and the baked goods never disappoint me. If you’re not sure what to get, or like me always try to look for a menu before hand due to being indecisive, I have two delicious suggestions. First, the first visited I got the Date cookie! Which is sweet and a little savory! Second, another of my favorites has been the carrot muffin, which was spongy and had baked nuts on the inside, so for anyone who has allergies I would ask and clarify! Overall ive never had any issues or problems with this bakery and if you’re looking for reasonably priced sweet treats, or a little snack to go, give this bakery a try!

I wanted to give myself a little going away party from a job I grew to loathe. Contacted several bakeries (via email or their individual websites) about what I wanted, and was turned down by almost all of them due to time constrains or because they thought my design was too offensive. Steenstra’s reached out to me faster than I’d anticipated and fulfilled my request exactly to the rough draft I provided. The staff with whom I corresponded was professional, yet personable and the taste of the desserts was better than I had anticipated; very good buttercream.

I stopped by to try some of their baked goods and settled on an assortment of pastries. They have a good variety of items for sale with friendly employees. The coffee cakes and pecan rolls are especially delicious, but you shouldn’t ignore the banket either. The donuts are also excellent. It’s good that I live so far away; otherwise it would be too tempting having such a nice bakery nearby. I’ll definitely be back.

Almost impossible to decide what not to purchase. As great as everything looks it all tastes better. The ladies waiting on everyone were great. Knowledgeable and professional. Do not miss. Also prices are awesome.

They are great. They even split this cake so it could be chocolate and white to please everyone at the party. My son’s edmund fitzgerald and titanic cake turned out exactly how we wanted it to.

I wasn’t expecting to have a bad baked good from this bakery. But I did. I looked up bakeries near me and being Dutch myself I was excited. Friendly when we arrived. Just an old fashioned style bakery. But I got a raisin cinnamon roll, and a sugar donut. I wasn’t not expecting to spit it out and not finish it. Sadly, I did just that, and tossed them, one bit of each and I the taste was like it was pre frozen then made. Not a fresh from scratch donut or roll.. not sure if I’d go back or not, super disappointed!

We are staying at The Castle for spring break and saw they were close by so we decided to get donuts, cinnamon rolls (get the peanut butter one for sure), and some cookies. My husband grew up coming here. We just moved back from Florida so I wanted to surprise him with a maple glazed fried cinnamon. I also got a chocolate one. You could taste and smell that the donut was burnt, they were also flat and dense. Went back in to tell them and maybe try a different donut and the employee was rude, and slamming the donut tray. Extremely disappointed. Reading through the comments, it’s seems rudeness and accountability- or lack of, isn’t uncommon. Very sad…

Have to make a stop here anytime. I’m near the area. Always have to get the bread ends if they’re available. And you can never leave without getting some donuts or cookies. The bakery goods are always delicious. Never once have I had a complaint.
