The crew is very friendly including the doorman and our server. The place had lots of different sizes and table types so you can choose depending on your group count and feel during your dine-in – they have traditional tables for formal gatherings and bar-type high tables or booths for a more casual experience.

The steak is really great and keeps with the name and reviews as this is locally known for delicious steaks. The only disappointing thing was the baked potato was cold and not baked well. It ruined the steak experience so we had to take home leftovers.

I made 2 visits here while in town for business. The first thing I noticed was the fries were really good. I enjoyed the fried mushrooms, and the hawaiian burger. I felt like the burger was missing something in its flavor profile, but it wasn’t bad. On my second trip, I got the ribeye steak. I am super picky about my steaks, so I am usually more harsh in my reviews of them. Doneness was a solid medium, was ordered as a medium rare. It is still within tolerance for me, and the waiter waited for me to cut into it and check to see if i accepted it. Nice touch! So 2 things on the steak. A little salt before cooking goes a long ways. This needed it. Next, it was tough for a ribeye. It reminded me of a sirloin or a chuck steak. Beyond that, I found it edible, which is a compliment in my book. The green bean side was different in a good way! The coleslaw was less than impressive.

Service both times was excellent. Drinks were refilled without prompting, and the staff seemed to care about the service they provided.

We went in and ordered carry out. While waiting we were served drinks. It was a Monday evening at 4:00; No one was in the restraurant until after our order went in. We ordered three very different burgers and all “pink” with fries, to go. An hour laer I asked the orignal server we had cuz now we had a bartender that came on, if our food was ready. He apologized and said he got busy and would go check on our food. He comes right out with our order, I pay and we leave. The bill was high enough. Almost $80 for the 3 burgers… total tab was just over a $100. Got home and the burgers were burned! They were so dry and burned… and the Fries were so damn soggy!!!! I was so beyond mad! That price for burned/soggy food? When all three were ordered PINK? -Ok… so the next day (Tuesday) I sent an email about what happened…..Got nothing back. It is now THURSDAY!!! No one cares at all right? They got their money so who cares?!?! Service was good, until the guy forgot to check the window for our To Go BURNED/SOGGY order, environment was good but the food needs some help! The management needs to respond to paying customers. We haven’t eaten there in well over a year and now I remember why. Tab just over $100, $20 tip on card and $10 cash tip the bartender that took over for the other guy… $130 total… and no response back about the complaint. Pretty disappointing.

We hoped to be able to leave a good review for The Steel Grill, but our experience was disappointing on many levels. We ordered a steel grill burger with cheese $17.68 And was charged an additional $2.60 for bacon, which we did not request and was not on the burger. The burger was ordered well done, and came pink in the middle. Our waiter was not to be located easily. We ended up having to hunt him down for mustard. Then we had to find silverware. The Side of beans were room temperature so they had to be sent back to be microwaved. The second item was a kids burger, which was $10.40. The bun was about 3 inches and the meat patty was about the size of a sausage patty, but about 1 inch thick. We were charged $.52 extra for barbecue sauce, which we did not order nor was it on the burger. We waited a while for our ticket then found another waiter to get our waiter and still waited another eight minutes for our ticket. Our waiter offered us cheesecake on the house, but we explained we did not want it, We simply wanted a nice meal and our food as we had ordered it. (If we had noticed the up charges at that time, we would have asked him to remove them, but we did not see them till out in the car.) Due to the dishonesty in the charges, the average quality of the meal, the unavailability of our waiter, all with a hefty price, we would not choose to eat here again.

Steak was overcooked. Loaded fried potatoes were not very good, needed more cheese and bacon. Waitress messed up our order but did fix it. I expected great service and food for the price of food.

Great bar n Grill. Great food and pretty good service did not have to wait even when it seem busy. Living in Lincoln its nice to know I can visit western Nebraska and always come to this place for great food while visiting.

Had the brisket sandwich that had very little meat, was mostly fat, and over-loaded with BBQ sauce. The other couple with us had hamburgers that were not thoroughly cooked.

Was in town for a few days hunting waterfowl. The lady at the hotel said this was a very good place to eat. She wasn’t wrong. I ordered the rib eye, medium rare. It was grilled perfectly. When our server brought it out and set it before me, it had to be at least 14oz! The onion rings I had on the side were good also. Server took care of us, food was hot when served and we didn’t have to wait long either. Excellent place to dine, double thumbs up!
