My husband and I discovered Steamed near Hammonasset Beach this summer and loved it right away—friendly staff, a simple, authentic-feeling interior, and, most importantly, excellent food. Everything was fresh, clean, and cozy. Highly recommend!

Yummy yummy dumplings! We ordered shrimp dumpling, pork soup dumpling, beef dumpling among others. Good, authentic boba tea too. We lived in Asia for a few years so that’s the comparison. Cold and warm boba tea available. Only thing I was not so keen on was they serve the warm boba in plastic cups. But that’s my personal thing with microplastics. I’m sure Green tea served in Starbucks like paper cups even for dine in.. Casual dining. We enjoyed it and will com back.

Highly recommended. Really good dumplings and rice. The boba tea was good as well. One of my girlfriend’s favorite spots. Great pricing and has a quiet setting.

Hello, this could have been a great experience but was downgraded because of directions. I usually do not eat out, mainly because of such bad experiences.

I ordered here once before and absolutely loved the sticky rice dumplings. The chili sauce is delish. I was craving noodles for some reason, so I came back.

I put everything in the comments, I did not get that. So deeply disappointed, I even left a tip for take out, as I figured everything I asked for was on the ticket.

So, sadly, this is my second and last time coming here, this visit was just ruined. I’ll hope and pray for others that things go better. It’s just not worth the aggregation going out

The soup dumplings were delicious, the bao bun was huge and also yummy, the inside of the place was really cute, and the prices were very reasonable. However the table we were at was sticky and gross and the service definitely could’ve been friendlier and more attentive.

Steamed was such a nice surprise. Upon entering you are immediately hit with cozy, relaxed, simple, and the aroma of yummy food. This is a basic, to the point menu – drinks, soup, bun, cold noodles, edamame and tofu, sticky rice, and dumplings.

We went in for a late lunch, there was the cook and the server; three other tables were filled and two more small groups came in as we were leaving. We were immediately seated, got our drinks and our food arrived as ordered.

As vegans we found a number of options, all were good sized portions as we ended up taking food home (which was still delicious the next day). Overall and a positive for me, is all the food was evenly flavored, nothing was over sauced or seasoned; but if you like you food smimming in sauce there are a number of options right on the table, so you can add as you like.

Both starters were light and tasty – the edamame and smoked tofu and spicy cold noodles – great combo with the noodles being one of those foods you keep eating even after you are full.

For our mains we overordered! Vegetable Bun (moist and filling), Vegetable dumplings (great texture and veg flavor) and the Spiced Shumai (reminded us of winter flavors). Looking forward to coming back

My husband and I got the veggie dumplings and shared a veggie bun and they were both delicious! They cooked up super fast. Both dumpling and buns were light, fresh. It was the perfect amount of food to feel full but not like we over ate! Definitely will be making this our regular dumpling spot.

The only negative thing was the chairs are not comfortable at all! They are made of wood, sit straight up and are unforgiving. So if you don’t have the most perfect posture they are horrible to sit in.

First timer here! The decor of this place was beautiful and the menu was simple and affordable. Between my friend and I, we only spent around 30 bucks and were both satiated. I got the pumpkin shrimp dumplings with one of the large pork buns. Both were very delicious and filling. To drink, I got a Sakura rose milk tea with boba. Where I’m from, there’s a bunch of boba shops by me and I drink bubble tea frequently. I think that the actual tea part of the drink was tasty, but the bubble portion was lacking. The tapioca pearls felt very artificial and didn’t have that wonderful chewy texture I associate with boba.

Overall, would definitely recommend this place. Additional to my comments regarding the food, the service was quick and friendly!

One of the best dumpling place in the area. Service was excellent. Dumplings, from pork to beef to shrimp, were steaming hot and flavorful. Spicy beef noodles was great, tender beef with bok choy and bamboo shoots. For a small plate dim sum style restaurant, it is as good as it gets. Definitely a place to go for a quick lunch or dinner.
Price is on the high side. Definitely a lot pricier, comparing to the typical dim sum joint in China town.
