Incredibly loud, like can’t carry a conversation loud. It would be fine after 9 pm, but not at 6pm trying to have dinner lol. Literally had to shout our order to the server, and her shout to us, with constant “what’s” in between! Our server needs to learn beer choices, and alcohol choices without giving rude looks, or even bother to ask the bartender. My husband got the wrong drink also.

I don’t even like writing reviews but this place shocked me! From out of town & was just looking to kill some time & get a drink. A friend who was a local recommended here! Smelled great so ended up getting the cut of the day(steak) & it was great & portions were generous. Randomly also the best house salad I’ve had in a long time.

Food was very nasty, service was slow. The food was cold and tough. Very loud and too much going on.

I’ve never had a bartender tip themselves out before they handed me the bill before today. (2/17/22) came in after work and had a cup of chili, a windy city, and a few two hearted beers. The waitress/bartender asked if she could close me out because it was the end of her shift and I handed her my card. The total came to $34.45. Not a big deal rounded up to $40 and signed the bill…jumped on my phone to check my account because I only moved $30 on it at the beginning of the day….and she had already ran my tab for $41.34. Now don’t get me wrong…it’s not really the $1.34. I adjusted my total after I had seen that she did that so it didn’t throw off her numbers. Not saying that she wasn’t worth a 20% tip either. If they had tablets with a 30% button…that’s what I would have hit. But if you hand me something to be signed…I’ll round up to the next $5 increment that seems deserved. A six dollar tip for a mostly empty bar at 3pm for a sandwich and beers seemed more than fair to me. Taking it upon yourself to tip yourself more….meh, that puts a bad taste in my mouth after just having a fantastic meal..

The fried perch was fantastic and a good portion as well. Food was hot and delicious. Great service and it was fairly busy. Refilled my water without asking. Clean bathrooms and ample parking.

Avoid this dump at all costs. We waited over 45 minutes and received some of the most bland, pointless, tasteless food of our collective lives. With a name like Steakhouse Philly, you’d think ordering 3 phillys would be a safe choice. Not quite. Dagwood’s cheesesteak is both lower priced and far tastier than whatever we were served. Not to mention, the “cook” was running back and forth behind the bar, serving drinks. The waitress also forgot our appetizer and had to return to the table to get our orders for a second time. This was easily one of the worst experiences my friends and I have had in EL/Lansing and we damn sure won’t be back.

Great selection of Philly sandwiches and Greek entrees. Appetizers and entrees were prepared quickly and tasted very good. Nice selection of craft beers available. Decent size dining area is comfortable and clean. Our server, Natalie, was very pleasant and attentive.

What’s not to love? This place is as warm and familiar as your own coat pocket. Dreary, grey January day, all seats filled and no-one in a hurry. Old Indiana-Purdue basketball game on the TV and Foreigner on the Jukebox. The keen eyed observers might even see the waitresses doing a shot. All the food is great, but get the original if passing through. Staff is hanging on by a thread. Give em’ a break and a tip.
