Food was ordered to-go, and the first issue noticed was that they provide extremely flimsy plasticware. You know what I’m talking about. For a steakhouse, imagine trying to eat a steak or chicken with flimsy silverware. For the prices they charge, they could at minimum provide sturdier utensils. Even much cheaper restaurants will provide that.
Second, most if not all the food is premade or frozen.
Onion rings taste exactly like the frozen kind you get at Walmart.
The chicken tenders are $15 and you get 3 measly looking tenders hardly bigger than a chicken nugget.
The grilled chicken entrees are so dry and so tough that you literally can’t bite through the exterior from how old/dry it is.
I will give credit to the sweet potato mash as it was actually pretty tasty.
Lastly, the bread pudding is terrible. The inside is completely dry with zero flavor, and it tastes exactly like a prepackaged angel food cake. This can’t be made in house as any other bread pudding I’ve ever had was actually flavorful, moist, and decadent throughout the entire bread.
Another gripe is that the restaurant is knowingly practicing fraudulent business practices. Their online menu does not mention anywhere that they will increase all menu prices by 3% if you pay by credit card. Their online menu prices are NOT what you will actually be charged if you use card. Most businesses have to explicitly state this surcharge both on physical and digital menus. The fact that they don’t do that here is really misleading and not a business to support. And then on top of that they have the gall to calculate tip percentages on the surcharge price. So if you pay with card, your tip they calculate is also inflated.
I don’t recommend coming here if you’re looking for quality food by an honest business.
Our server was kind and friendly and on task. We didnt have to request or wait on anything. Would definitely dine here again.
The Bourbon steak was excellent. The garlic mash was good. Onion ring not so much. The bourbon chicken was also very good. They oysters was not great . However the overall food experience was good
The service was excellent. The server was very friendly and attentive however seem like he was new. Was not very knowledgeable of the dishes. However that did not diminish the service quality.
Definitely RECOMMEND Steak Street along with joining their VIP registration… too bad these are located in many more cities!!
Friendly employees. Clean place. Nice atmosphere. Quick service.
For 4 people at a steak house, price not bad. Very good food.
Had 2 appetizers, gator bites and calamari, both very good.
We had the steak street ribeye, salmon and bourbon chicken. All were very good.
Will be back again.
The food was extremely good, from the fried green tomatoes to the steak. The tomatoes probably the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The Brussel sprouts were super crispy and perfect. Now onto the steak, they were both cooked perfectly, but the bourbon filet was top tier. I’m not normally a filet person, but this was probably the best steak I’ve ever had.
Only reason for the 4 star and not the 5 is the price of some add ons. I wasn’t informed of the uncharge for onions and mushrooms on the steak. An up charge isn’t the problem per say, but the $8 a piece was. Roughly 6 mushrooms, and 6 slices of onions cost me $16 which was more then the voodoo shrimp add on my wife got for her ribeye. $16 for a few mushrooms and onions is a little ridiculous.
Other then that, it was perfect, we will 100% be going back, and 100% never adding mushroom and onions for $16 again.
