The location is super convenient, just off of I-44. The food is satisfactory. Although, I’ll say the garlic burger was delicious. The bathrooms were dirty. The staff was slow to respond when we walked in the door. We were left standing at the “wait to be seated sign” for several minutes. Even though there was only 2 other customers in the whole store! In fact, the only person to acknowledge us was a cook behind the counter, while a waitress sat at the counter playing on her phone. Once we were seated, another waitress was quick to tend to us, and the food came quickly!

We went in to eat and about 7:30 in the evening. The store was super clean the hostess was very friendly. Our waitress came over also very friendly took our drink order and our food order. Are food came out rather quickly there were quite a few people in there. If it was very fresh and tasted delicious. All in all it was a great experience!

I went to the drive through this time. Had one person ahead of me who pulled up while waiting for their order and I appreciated that. My burger was excellent, as always, but what I really came here to say is that I’m a big fan of the fries cooked in beef tallow! I never used to get the fries before this change because I wasn’t impressed with them. I saw a sign in front of the restaurant saying they’re cooked in beef tallow now so I thought I’d try them. Bravo Steak ‘n Shake, good move!

The waitress was super sweet and kind. The food didn’t take too long and the burger and fries were hot and good when they came out. Highly recommend for a quick and cheap meal. Their shakes are really good too. Did not get one on this visit but have had them there before and they are top tier.

The server was great. Food was a little greasy and the wait time was a little longer then expected. The facility allowed non service dogs in the restaurant, the dog was well behaved just not something I am accustomed to.

Stopped by here for lunch and got the double cheeseburger with fries. Both the burger and fries were hot and fresh. Very good burger and pretty good prices. Portions are alittle small but worth the price. The staff was friendly and service was quick even though there was a crowd ahead of us.

we drove 2 hours to this steak & shake it was worth it too. Our waitress Kimberly was awesome, she was on top of her game.. Ooooh, I’m so excited to find another location that still has full service and no ordering kiosks! What a fantastic find! Definitely stop in when traveling through Joplin, MO, or if you live locally. Staff was fantastic, the place was immaculate and the food was ! Gotta love those fries with the cheese! The only disappointment was hearing they had no bottled water or soda available. They did have lemonade, HI-C, and tea available. Aside from that…perfection! Definitely a hidden gem!
