Stopped at the Steak ‘n Shake while traveling up North for a classically nice sit down meal of their signature mouth-watering burger and fries and exceptionally cold milk shake. The seating area was quite clean. The customer service was exceptionally positive. The public restrooms do need to be updated with new fixtures.

Me and by bf love eating here the service is always great as and we have never had to wait to long for food or drinks, as well it’s vary cheep and affordable for 2 people or even more to eat and with decent portions sizes + the shakes are vary good and we always get one to go.

Our waitress messed our order up, said she would correct it, and never did. It was still good food for a decent price. I did feel bad for our waitress as one employee was telling her to bus tables. She had a manager asking why she was bussing tables and not tending to her tables. It wasn’t super busy, but they may have been a little short-handed.

My daughter and I got burgers and cotton candy shakes. Both were good, but the cotton candy didn’t taste like cotton candy. It wasn’t bad, just didn’t taste how I thought it would. The burgers were fresh and great even driving home 20 minutes before eating them. We return a lot!

Beware of a creditcard thief in the drive through at this location. She will squeeze the shake as she hands it to you the cause a mess and offer to get you napkins and hold your credit card underneath the napkins to only hold the credit card as you think you are getting it with napkins and never give it to you because you are distracted at the messy shake. I had to call Joplin police. I never left the drive through and fortunately caught her and cancelled the card immediately. I can only imagine how many people this has happened to this didn’t catch her scam. Police report filed and district manager notified. Video showed her hand holding something the shape of credit card and only could show the top of her hand.

We walked in late… we didn’t realize they closed at 10! It was like 9:40 when we got there. There was hardly anyone there. But there was a waitress that as soon as we walked in that rolled her eyes. We sat down and ordered immediately. Our actual waitress was amazing! And when we left Brittany (the girl with attitude) jumps up and cashes us out. I was sure to tell her that her actions were noticed and not appreciated. Thanked our waitress and left.

I had never eaten at Steak N Shake before. We stopped while in Springfield, MO.. We were greater then seated as we walked in. Given time to look over the menu before ordering. There were busy and only had one server at the time. Our food was brought to us quickly and it was the perfect temperature. We went back that evening for take out to share with our mother for dinner. We were leaving Springfield to head back home to Ks. and we stopped for lunch at a different location. We received the same great service and food. Wish there was one in Wichita, Ks.

First time back to a Steak ‘n Shake in 20+ years. First time ever to the Joplin MO location which is just off I-44. Arrived not long after opening. Greeted immediately and seated. 3 beverages of non-sweet tea for my wife, ice free Coke Zero for my daughter, and Dr Pepper for me. After ordering each of our orders were spot on. Double cheese burger with fries for my wife, Jalapeno burger and fries for my daughter, triple bacon cheeseburger with rings for me. All were very good and hot. Our waiter checked on us frequently; just close to hitting that mark of too much checking. He was very polite and personable. The inside was clean and well organized.
