Tom not only opened the door for my friend and I (he has trouble walking so I was helping him inside). While getting through the restaurant the place smelled good. Place looked clean. We ordered and sat down. Tom cooked & brought us our food! It was absolutely delicious!! I highly recommend the Frisco melt with extra sauce. I strongly suggest ordering a shake with extra toppings just because why not? Service was close to being perfect!!

Everybody knows how this chain is nowhere near what it used to be. But we still go once in a great while. Burgers are still good. I’ve always thought their fries were the best and they’re still very good. Also enjoyed a banana shake. [For a few minutes, we were the only 2 customers in the restaurant.]

02.13.2026 update: I’ve continued ro stop by on occasion and have received improved service. Today I got a perfectly crispy melt and had to come back to bump up my review from 3 to 4 stars. I will leave the original text and photo below and add a photo of today’s awesome Frisco melt.
Something seems to have changed in the last week or two. I regularly drive through and get the exact same thing. Frisco Melt. It seems they are being taken off the grill faster than usual. The bread is not toasted, and it’s not as hot as usual. Today, my first bite even had a crunchy pickle, which doant belong on the sandwich, so I spit it out and couldn’t bring myself to even try another bite. The sauce was cold.
I’d rather the drive-through be slower and get a carefully cooked meal rather than something done in a sloppy rush.

Restaurant was a mess. Manager was rude when asked how to get drinks. You apparently have to get a QR Code which we never got from our receipt. He got mad and slammed the QR Code on the counter and had an attitude when doing it. I wanted to get my money back but my wife was hungry and didn’t want to deal with the hassle. This is probably the worst experience I had in a fast food setting and won’t be back.

Dined in. Food was hot and delicious. An employee (or maybe it was the manager?) brought my food to my table and made sure I had everything I needed. He even brought me napkins. I was pleasantly surprised. My only complaint is the bathrooms could use a little tending to.

A classic getaway late at night for when you just don’t know where to go out. Steak and Shake will always be there for you with delicious burgers and my personal favorite cajun fries. Though they could speed up the milkshake making process, I usually come in a group which, is accommodated well, but can of course affect the wait time. They know what they do well, but they still manage to provide it for very low prices with satisfying meal possibilities even under $4 after tax.

In line at the drive thru for 20 mins. Got a burger with the soggiest bottom bun ever. Cole slaw that was pink and tasted old, a cookie that is pretty much raw dough… I ate the French fries. Everything else went in the trash.
