Steak and Shake was one of our favorite places to eat when we were in B.C. , it has really changed because of the pandemic. There are no longer any wait people. You order through a kosk, and they call your name, and you pick up at the counter. The burgers were still good, but many favorites are off the menu. So sad. Covid has changed many things.

Have to order at kiosk, I’m in a wheelchair so it was difficult. No one to come around to see if you need anything. If you needed anything it took forever for someone to address you. Service was very slow for 2 burgers, 1 fry. Even longer for 1 shake. A larger family came in behind us and received their food before we did. Won’t be dining in at that location again.

Husband and I went for dinner 7/7/23 at approx 5:00. We walked in ordered our food on the kiosk. There were several employees delivering food to the tables. We waited for our food and our name to be called. We noticed our food on the ledge by the cooks. No one called our name for over 15 min causing us to go up and ask for our good. There were no employees but the cooks to be found. When we got our food, ourselves, our hamburgers and fries were cold. Several tables in the restaurant were sticky and dirty. Had to look around fir a relatively clean table. Never again will we eat at this restaurant. Terrible service and cold food.

I wish I can give it all five stars but they put in kiosks and took away the waiting staff which I thought was really more personal, and they added hours of opening at 10:00 a.m. instead of being 24/7 anymore. Just kind of little sour about how it used to be versus now. However the staff are always more than happy to help you and food is always amazing.

Steak & Shake is Steak and Shake. Sometimes the food is decent, sometimes it leaves a bit to be desired. On our last visit the food was okay. The poor manager that was helping us was really stressed and overworked. Give that poor guy a raise!
