I have been pleasantly surprised at how far this location has come compared to years past. The staff in place care and actually engage in conversation rather than seeming too busy to look your way.
I have been getting my burger on sourdough bread, which has been great.
The biggest negative is that the kiosk does not allow you to truly build your own sandwich. I enjoy getting crispy onions on my burger and there is no way to do so on the machine. So, I have to wait to flag someone down to get my food ordered every time.

Candace who was managing the dining area was such a phenomenal hostess. She checked in with everyone in the restaurant often, engaged with customers (“your baby is so cute!” “I love your vintage car— my husband used to drive that kind!” “Thank you for coming in, ladies!”), and she was overall the highlight of our visit. Amazing customer service.

This crew was outstanding! Everything was fresh made to order and everything came with a side order of kindness. A group of teens came in and one of them gave my daughter a sweet Lil baby Jesus to take with us along our journey. The Biscoff and Nutella Shakes was superb and even the ice tea was special made*. This crew keep up with cleanliness and crowds. Ryan and the crew great job. Highly recommend eating here.

Best Steak ‘n Shake we have been to in years. Everything was good but the onion rings were phenomenal! I wish theu would go back to the in person ordering. Many older people had issues with the kiosks.

I like it here. The food is good, but it’s sad that people will sit across the way from the soft serve and wait for your kids to scan their receipt, cut and block your kids to serve themselves on your dollar. Essentially stealing. Scandalously pathetic.

Just the fact that the fountain drinks are protected by technology now is enough to make my not come here again. It’s a self serve fountain machine but, make sure you don’t throw away the separate QR codes that print from the kiosk when you order. You have to scan it to get the drinks to come out. They are locked! ??? The scanner times out so you have to scan again if you didn’t move fast enough from the confusion. Or after a certain number of ounces it times out too so you rescan to get more. But don’t scan too soon after or it does nothing. I asked if people were stealing drinks or something??? The employee attempting to help me with this ridiculous technology didn’t answer but she did say we could get refills. So, I guess it’s not about limiting anyone but I’m definitely NOT going through this again for a refill. It’s so annoying and ridiculous I think I’ll just pass up Steak n Shake from now on. That was quite an ordeal.

Hadn’t been in for a while and wanted to try the new beef tallow fries. This is the cleanest restaurant I’ve been in for quite a while. They followed through with better than expected service. I’ll be back soon!

I love to go out sit down and be waited on. I got the good food I enjoy but had to use the computer to place my order. I’m tired I worked hard today. I didn’t want to learn how to WORK the menu. I was insulted that they asked me for a tip. For doing their job? Nope not this former waitress.

It’s been a long time since we’ve been in a Steak N Shake this clean. The manager, Tannis, was incredibly helpful and even took my order at the front so I didn’t have to try to use the kiosk while holding a baby. She also brought a high chair and the food over. She was very kind and made our experience a great one! We will definitely come back if in the area again.
